Or is it just Wild Growth? 2 layers at peak and 1 layer a majority of the time? Usually this early in a phase there are 7-10 active layers.
Might be time for Blizzard to add a 10 man end game raiding option if they wish to bring back some players.

Just logged on to my alliance character and there’s 14 people on in my guild. Start of phase there were well over 50 on weekends. SoD is dead. I have tried to quest in WPL 3 times now and every hunter bot tags every mob before I have the chance. Freaking impossible. Time to cancel my sub.

Its not the games fault… its simply way too beautiful to be playing WoW right now.
Its 85 and sunny 16 hours a day, every day, all week, all month, until September / October.
I like the beach, I like golf, I like being outside… Just horrible timing by the devs on this.

This is the time when there are too many things to do in the game and the numbers are very low. Can’t imagine what it will be like in 1 month.

Yes, it is indeed dead. After dinging 60 on mage logout and didnt bother farming marginal upgrades.

Crusader Strike horde side our guild had 50+ phase 3 and 6 in phase 4. We just merged with another previous large one and now there is about 15 of us.

Didn’t check today. (Was sledding in Alterac all day)
But the last couple days I’ve been routinely on layer 6 in Kargath. (It’s not the Layer 9 of Phase 1…but that’s not dead.)

I’m on layer 8 at almost midnight on a sunday.
Never seen the servers as crowded as the last days.

You say SoD’s dead, and no 10 man raids killed it? Well, guess I have no choice but to believe you. After all, you wouldn’t come here to our beloved forums just to whine.
Guess I better quit enjoying myself and quit. Well, at least until Paradosi gets what he wants. Then everything will be good again, and I can enjoy SoD again.

Stop doomposting about it and let the people still playing enjoy p4. This is the highest SoD’s population will be for the rest of its days. If there are still players out there feeling that SoD magic, don’t try and take that from them. Damn.

I jumped on Lone Wolf tonight at 8pm PST Sunday. 8 layers and about 60 LFM posts. Still 25ish LFMs at 1am now. Super easy to get a BRD or LBRS group.
No idea what the actual player count is but the SoD community seems healthy right now. At least relative to the end of P3 where you could not PUG anything.

Dont know everyone defines “dead”, but my guild is certainly dead in P4.
We used to have many groups doing raids every reset. That number has dwindled a lot since the GDKP ban, and just gradually become less and less.
In P3, we could barely put up a raid. Now, when i log in at the peak time, there is only me and another dude online…

I’m hearing this a lot right now, it’s sad what happened to SoD considering how much promise it had. Not sure why they deviated away from 10 man raiding as so many guilds and players preferred that.
Just look how popular 10 man is in Cata Classic right now. Again, I’m not saying they should only have 10 man, but offer 10 and larger raid sizes. It works. Stop being lazy Blizzard.
Hopefully Microsoft can pump some extra resources into this so the same 8 people aren’t working on sod, cata classic, classic era, hardcore classic, etc.
