Is SOD already dead?

Crusader strike still going strong with 6+ layers in offtimes and 9+ layers at prime time. Got about 3/4 raiding teams prepping.

LOL neckbeard sweatlords don’t go outside.

Wow, this was eerie… this exact “excuse” was already predicted to be used, legit word for word by Robokappa in a thread a few months back. Somewhere along the lines of “what will be the excuse in p4, since everyone has excuses for p3? When it’s dead?” Robokappa: they’ll say it’s nice outside instead of game design issues.

He was right all along

Layers can be linked together, they don’t often collapse until very late night, early morning. Layers don’t really matter much at all for population

Once the dreaded raid logs roll out we’ll see how it looks

I played P1 and P2.

Elitists are what killed it for me, Classic/Vanilla wasn’t hard and yet people are obsessed with logs and whatnot over in SoD. Treating it like it’s Heroic/Mythic raiding over in Retail.

I played P3 for a few minutes and never logged back onto SoD, didn’t like Incursions.

Blood Moon just flat-out sucked, it’s graveyard camping, no real PvP structure like battlegrounds.

I liked the Ashenvale event, but it’s not useful anymore, doesn’t go to exalted, etc.

I’d rather wait for a fully-fleshed out Classic+ experience than some lazy live beta.

All they had to do was fill out more empty areas and give us more raids/dungeons.

So yeah. SoD gets what they deserve, lol.

The community itself is the biggest repellant.

many such cases :expressionless:

Yeah, i wouldnt personally bet on the Microsoft.

I think SOD still hold promises, if Devs are willing to put more resources into it, cuz it is still the beginning of P4 and 60 experiences.

Right now, i think the most logical thing to do is to merger servers as it no longer make sense to have so many servers with so little population.

It is not that the current population is not playable, but people in general prefer to have populated servers.

Its not dead at all on CS. Loving the activity!

Once transfers open again Wild Growth will be flooded w/ people. A lot of us are wanting off CS or at least are transferring over our alts.

Yes its dead…you should forget all about SoD and move on with your life.

So is it not nice out? Are ppl not traveling? Not at the coast? Not outside.

You literally just said someone predicted months ago that it would be really nice outside in July…

And now you’re bragging that prediction was right.

Do you even hear yourself? Lol

Outside, sweating in the muggy heat VS inside with AC/fans and playing WoW.

Hmmm tough call.

Don’t live where it’s muggy I guess?

West coast is absolutely beautiful right now. Zero bugs, zero humidity.

It rains 8 months a year in Seattle, our 4 summer months are complete gold

strawman argument - ignoring the point of my post. You trying to argue people are not doing this at all times of the year?

“its not the game!”

Do you know the definition of bragging?

I mean, its rainy and cold and crappy 8-9 months in MUCH of the US… not everyone lives in Florida

None of that matters when you live in a place where it is summer all year long. Should I just game when it is a rainy day?

Said it several times before and I’ll say it again.

Doesn’t matter what time of year it is or what else is going on. People are choosing to do anything else but play SoD. Touch grass, play retail, play other games, scrub the toilet, whatever. SoD just isn’t drawing in any new players and isn’t retaining any.

The next few weeks will be the best time to play p4. More people playing at phase launch and the population is not going up from there.

Is it dead? Who cares. If you’re gonna play p4 SoD, now is the time.
