Is there any caveat regarding rolls? Because I imagine if someone legitimately wins an item and then says “Well I’ll give it to you for 10g”, that doesn’t seem like the same thing as GDKP.
How is that any different than a blue BoE dropping, everyone rolling need, and then the winner putting it on the AH?

Short answer is Yes.
If you are exchanging gold for an item in a raid/dungeon you could put yourself at risk.
Kind of like speeding. You can physically do it, and be as slick as you want about it, but you take on the risk of being caught.
