Is RMT, GDKP, and Gold Buying banned yet?

When I got that first taste of free gold from the pure buyers jacking the pot way up, I knew GDKP was the best loot system ever!

There is no difference between the gold buyer and the victim of the gold purchase.
The problem is, even BZ doesn’t have any authentic evidence of the RMT transaction (no buyer or seller would provide RMT proof to BZ, right?).I guess they can only ban and trace gold from bots or gold sellers (which they ban in each banwave). So, players who intervene with the most gold from gold sellers or bots will be considered gold buyers and be actioned

I was just at the GW2 forums. I like WvW there and they are doing a beta re: that. It’s a mess. But the forums warriors are there too doing the parse this stuff, talking down at each other, and using video game numbers to measure size.

I think one has to be careful with parse culture. It infects what it touches. Some people do it in real life: ohh look at your job or your level of education, dude you’re grey parsing, you are lazy, you are not as human as these high parsers. They don’t use those words, but it’s kinda the same thing.

I’m gonna go check on ESO next, cause I think I feel like doing some Cyrodil there today (love me some casual pvp I do). I think I’ll see the same stuff I see in this thread.

So maybe think about it. It’s nice you purple parse in the video game. It really is. But is it super important? Yeah, I don’t know.

I hope y’all have fun whatever you do and be careful with where the gold comes from.

“im not paying this company so i can spend my time cleaning up their mess” or “ive done so as well a few times” which is it? also you can’t tell me you care about rmt and then say you’re not worried about reporting rule-breakers as a “paying customer” like that title gives you some sort of freebie.

you told me you don’t care if people buy gold so why are you reporting?

and this is a good thing

Exactly. I’ve never had a person straight up tell me they buy gold. No way would I feel comfortable reporting a person for “suspicion of gold buying”. What a hassle for them if I were mistaken.

only the puppies

I wouldn’t know how to spot somebody who bought gold vs somebody who was lucky in getting a bgood item to sell vs an alt of a mage aoe farmer or warlock summoner.

I mean even if each freely told me how much each had I wouldn’t know which was which.

I’m reporting bots I see in the world.

Lol! So you want people to police players who might potentially RMT essentially on an honor system? Am I getting that right?

This is one of the biggest early April Fools Jokes I’ve ever heard.

I bet Dev’s and GMs must profiteer hard from whale’s in this game. You are completely out of touch that if you think GDKPs aren’t the driving factor in RMT.

All I read is “We’re OK with GDKPs but for legal reasons we don’t want you to RMT for P2W mechanics as most likely we will be heavily restricted in certain areas of the world. Police the system yourself  ”

What are you even trying to say?

If you’re running GDKP and routinely receive RMT gold from the other players then you are setting yourself up to be actioned. It’s that simple.

Ok. So how do I know said players received RMT gold? What tools do I have available that would give me this information?

This is such obviously flawed logic children should be able to understand why this is stupid.

That’s on you. If you can’t trust the players you’re running with, i.e you don’t know them well enough to know if they’re cheating or not, then you shouldn’t be routinely trading gold with players like that. It’s not like GDKP pugs are a required means of playing the game. You can easily circumvent trading gold with random players.

You’re just as responsible for not accepting RMT gold as a pawn shop is for not buying stolen goods. If it happens on occasion, you’re fine, but if it happens all the time you’re culpable.

Lets break this down.

This is legal for all to do, this has been stated.

This is what we pay blizzard to keep OUT of the game, it isnt the paying customers responsibility to police Blizzards game. How does 1 even know if someone Buys Gold? Does Blizzard put out a RMT Monthly magazine i dont know about that has people blacklisted on it?

The people getting RMT gold are victims.

It isnt that simple. Infact it pretty much makes 0 sense.

Do you know what circular logic is? Apparently not. “That’s on me” isn’t an definitive answer. So apparently according to you I need to be clairvoyant. Got it

Yeah its such a dumb stance.

Even if you are anti gdkp you cant be serious with this way of thinking.

It just isnt logical to have players be responsible for what other players do.

No you have to be a good judge of character. Don’t quote the first three words of my response and ignore the rest lol

I don’t think you’re making a genuine argument, so good luck with the rest of that.

Your replies get worse and worse.

The sad thing is you cant see how dumb it is

Judge of character in a video game, do i know Aguy at all?

If Aguy is in my gdkp how do i prove he hasnt bought gold?

How do i prove it?
