God I donāt want to see a token in vanilla. It kills so much. Maybe for the first time ever could just actually ban gold buyers. Iāve seen the system first hand, every single peice of gold is encoded with a transaction history. They could easily trace it but they ban the secondary account. Christ once they add guild banks then weāre right back as the big sellers just invite your toon to a guild and you withdraw. Actual massive honeypots but they only ever slap on the wrist the buyer account, never the one the gold went to from there. Infuriating.
They donāt care when it comes to the AH because they benefit from RMT and they know it. They only care when they donāt get something out of it.

Iāll be looking for all eternity then. The only two blue posts I found said that GDKP is not officially supported but its not bannable as long as its just gold.
And the second blue post said that you canāt advertise outside of game.
Both those are already common sense.

Where did you get that I am a bot lover? Never once advocated for RMT or bots. I think anyone who engages with either should be permanently banned.
The only way you as a player can avoid any interaction with RMT is if you are playing SSF.
arenāt you an avid defender of gdkp? do you have any solutions to the rmt problem or are you satisfied with the status quo and you think rmt/bots should be banned as a front? do you honestly care if people in your guild buy gold for consumes? would you accept a much lower gold cap to combat rmt, or kernel level anti-cheat on your pc to play wow?

I am not a defender of gdkp, I donāt really care if people choose to play like that. Itās blizzard responsibility to police their game and I think itās just as toxic for you to target and harass people who are playing the game because you created some justification.

Itās interesting that the pro-RMT crowd has latched onto this one.
They want the uncontrollable inflation and RMT heaven that GDKPs are to stay, but freak out about the AH.
Not saying that the AH isnāt a driver, but itās a small driver and the prices on it are a symptom, not the core issue.
The two core issues driving RMT are parsing and GDKPs, pure and simple. You can clear BFD with a chunk of the group doing green and depending on the class mid grey parses. You donāt have to be ultra 733T to clear it, but the toxic side of the WCL community insists on fresh 25s parsing 75+ (or higher). This drives up the price and pushes people wanting to play at that level to buy gold to get the consumables needed to keep parsing at that level.
^^ Thatās where the AH inflation comes into play.
Meh, in a few days itāll be something else thatās benign driving RMT instead of GDKPs.

GDKP pugs are like throwing dice in a back alley, you dont know whos got fake stuff or cheating, so buyer beware.
No one cares if you get caught in the crossfire though, gdkps have a bad standing in the community.

yeah if Iām in a raid with someone that cares about parsing I donāt raid with them again, most 99 parsers on classic couldnāt complete a +20 mythic key on retail

Considering it only takes consumables and getting lucky on drops the first 3-4 lockouts, yea. Thereās really minimal skill involved there, always has.
During Vanilla Classic, every guild I was in was happy with people in upper green and blue parse wise. Because everyone at the time was smart enough to realize what the higher parse numbers were.
actually ppl are getting banned for advertising it in lfg so it definitely has a bad rep outside of your rmt community
