Classic rogue is only lvl six but the feeling of something dying when you crit again is amazing. I was going to play both, but my desire to log into retail isn’t there. Literally i got dc’d last night and tried to log into retail and it felt like a darkmoon faire game. Like some kind of side thing to the real game. I played like ten minutes and went to bed. Tbh, i will take bots over merc ques any day of the week too. Hopefully i can find a guild to grind to aleast rank 10 with.

Yeah retail seems “emtpy” because it has like countless more zones, more levels, more content, and more servers.
That’s interesting. Most folks say Wrath was the best of WoW. And if the only thing that mattered were sub numbers then that’d seem to be the case. Imho TBC was way better then classic. It had most of the good of classic but with things relatively more balanced and a more sensical endgame.
Pretty sure the population drop is actually because china has lost interest in WoW lately. But that I can admit is an educated guess.

I already said yes to that. It was my first post. Are you really worried about that? I doubt that. Retail is doing just fine. It’s still the most popular MMO and it’s 15 years old so… I think we’ll be just fine. I’m excited for blizzcon and to see what comes next.
First, get off your alts. Second: Why not? It’s more fun that way. Obviously shouldn’t play nilla on a PVP server if you don’t like unfair pvp. Cause that’s 90% of all world pvp that’s ever existed in the game.

Fun fact. In a patch can’t remember which one when they enabled level scaling. They made killing things harder, and dying easier. And most of y’all QQ’d.

depends what you mean by dead. If as an industry leader, it’s been dead for a long time, it’s been a string of failures since WotLK that hasn’t done anything but bleed subs and stands as an example of how to ruin the biggest game ever made. As a profitable game, it’ll probably be around for a while still.

what makes you think it’s the most popular MMO right now? there’s a reason they stopped posting sub counts, OSRS has been passed them for a long time now, and I’m pretty sure BDO is past them as well… can’t really know because they hide their numbers out of embarrassment.

There’s no rule that requires people who play Retail to chase after the last patch’s content or even the latest expansion. I play the Retail version regularly, taking my time in each old expansion’s content, and I don’t even own BfA.

What’s with this immature competitiveness when it comes to retail vs classic? Both appeal to very different audiences and both will maintain a decent sized player base.
