I’m coming back for classic. Haven’t played since MoP and didn’t realize until just now that they removed pvp servers. World pvp was the absolute best part of Vanilla, and take it out of the game for everyone just floors me. Wow!

There is now a war mode which you can enable which allows you to go into a pvp server at will in stormwind/org. Which gives more flexibility to players.

Unlikely, retail offers instant gratification while classic does not. Majority of wow subscribers are addicted to dopamine, so maybe for a time before withdrawals start to kick in.

Trying to think of anything in the game now that is instant gratification. The optional mounts/pets? I mean I guess? To be fair those have been in here since the all hallowed “peak” of WoW WoTLK. Sooooo. And they don’t give you any in game benefit they’re cosmetic. Not sure what is instant gratification in the game right now.

Your post makes no sense to me.

WoW classic is staying classic, forever.

This means that you can level at whatever pace you are able, and can still reach the cap with everyone else. There are no new expansions coming to wipe out your progress.

Likewise with gear.

Honestly it seems more friendly than retail for those with less play time because of this.

Classic will be out forever, but it’ll die and have low pop before retail will. Which will make grouping much harder. Retail will outlive Classic because it has new content, and this new content is cleared more quickly than the content in Classic.
So, if you want a living game in the long run that doesn’t take up time if you want to stay caught up, play retail.

I doubt classic will ever die. Private servers were still popular before so there will always at least be a healthy population.

For yucks i tried to get in to retail but it is a hot mess as it stands. Lost interest after a couple hours. Getting instant 100 as a “gift” really kills the magic of the game. Same as a game genie or cheat codes. If thats your idea of “fun”, i want no part of it.
