No, but Classic is currently the “new kid on the block”. Retail always has less people logging in when a major MMO debuts. I have seen this happen with the releases of Age of Conan, Aion, Warhammer, Rift, SW:TOR, FFXIV, GW2, ESO and Wildstar.
Players will eventually go back to retail or their other MMOs, until the next major Classic content opens up.
He says that putting ’ around it doesn’t work for him.
I have given him a second way (add a space in the middle of http) to post it so we’ll see.
He is trolling so far as putting ‘around a url’ works for everyone.
I accept your concession and acknowledge that you have admitted defeat. Go back to the kiddy pool… we’re all tired of you making the water here purple.
You’re all attack, no data. You’d be a full horse if you had the front half.
You are right nobody knows this for sure except Blizzard. I have always stated that these are estimates. They are good estimates and to act like there is some conspiracy where they’re off by millions is ludacris
The reason he doesn’t want to link to it is because there is no magical “statistical extrapolation” that he’s referencing here, and it’s just the API data I called out, which was gathered via data mining… and posting that data could get him banned, which is why he won’t link to it.
I have to settle for one of those plastic storage bins from Walmart filled with water because I can’t calculate how much it would cost to fill up an actual pool and don’t want to risk overspending
I doubt classic kills retail. There are too many instant gratification kids playing these days.
Plus I am sure the microtransactions make up some income as well.
Same can be said for classic players. Ive been playing vanilla wow for over a decade. Its not a nostalgia thing for me. Its actually challenging and rewarding. Heck. The Nostalrius server had what? 500k subs with 150k active each day?
That is a private server.
For yucks i tried to get in to retail but it is a hot mess as it stands. Lost interest after a couple hours. Getting instant 100 as a “gift” really kills the magic of the game. Same as a game genie or cheat codes. If thats your idea of “fun”, i want no part of it.
