Is raid damage being scaled around world buffs?

Seems like a lot of work for a small team. I didn’t think world buffs were popular but maybe I’m wrong about that.

Melee classes all get them because it’s a huge portion of their DPS.

Most people don’t like them but they feel running with them is mandatory. hence all the big melee leads on WCL.

Game is scaled around no world buffs. If you wipe, you dont need to get new buffs.

world buffs are popular, in original classic WCL tried to make a no world buffs category and it had like 3 guilds in it, in SoM they banned them and it wasn’t well received

Really? I thought it was one of SOM most popular features but only from what I remember reading. Didn’t actually play SOM.

probably not. which means every raid boss will be a boring pushover :expressionless:

it worked well in SoM to make the raids a little challenging. lots of people refused to play because muh parses though :expressionless:

My expectation is that Heat Level 3 will be grueling the first week but then Aggrend will get cold feet and nerf it until it is toothless.

yes, if by some accident/miracle they make challenging content, it WILL be nerfed. that is iron clad blizzard law :expressionless:

lol only if it drops better gear. otherwise, the casuals will be totally fine doing the lowest level.

No, they definitely should not.

As it stands on PTR: dual wield Warriors are unplayable without world buffs.

Horrible design to have a class that becomes useless when you lose one-time buffs that take hours to collect outside of raid & disappear on your first death of the evening. And god forbid your guild can’t finish every single raid in under 1 hour and you need to get a new Warchief’s Blessing + Songflower to be useful again…

You don’t even have epic weapons.

Same story every tier - Warriors doom and then they get gear and then they start massively gapping everyone.

Now, in phase 4, you’ll be able to Reck every fight. With raid buffs you’re probably going to be almost crit cap with halved reck too, meaning Warriors will be massively buffed being able to reck just about every boss.

As far as not finishing in an hour… skill issue.

Warrior with blues does more damage than any other class in blues on Classic Era. Because the game is not balanced around world buffs.

When the game is balanced around world buffs: it does not matter how much gear you have. Because world buffs provide more stats than every single item you have equipped combined.

It’s insane to balance around them.

Haven’t raided when you see in the advertisement in LFG, “must have WB and consumes!” …?

World buffs aren’t popular because people like them, they’re popular because they’re broken and increase your damage. Couldn’t tell you about how SoM players felt but som also came out right after classic vanilla and while tbc was out so had such a small following

the casuals will be totally fine getting the same rewards for less than a quarter of the effort
