Still more impressive than my first 2k
Shadowmourne arms warrior was a real HOOT
Reminds me of when I got scammed out of glad in shadowlands s1
Friend I got glad with in BFA messaged me “yo bri you coming back to WoW let’s do glad again” everyday for 8 months b4 release
Finally I gave in and was like “aight bet”
2390 week 2 or 3, we’re like top 300 on ladder
Joined a team with a couple rank ones on a friday night, got 2400, 50% win rated 50 wins until 6 am
He quit the moment he got glad
Still salty about it
Best enhance I’ve ever met in my life. Was my first 2400 in 2s with him too playing disc/enhance
I would be like “Delo I’m gonna ne…”
and would hear screamed in coms
“UH OH HEALER HAD AN OOPSIE”
I had clips of us beating cdew/rekful/yamz on stream 5 times in a row. Prob my top 5 WoW moments

That’s what i’m getting to though, there’s a skill discrepancy more so than a gear one. 13 ilvls between honor and conquest, and almost no one is full honor with zero conquest in bgs and almost no one is full conquest with zero honor in bgs so in reality its more like a 7-9 ilvl difference between most bg players from top end to bottom
From the bgs i played, it’s 100% skill discrepancies determining the outcome of a game after a teamfight way more so than gear (excluding sub 200k hp players who are an anomaly with the current system)
I regularly see heavy conquest geared players die without pressing anything or overlapping every single cd and then dying after those run out and i still see people trinket saps before the teamfight is even started (and these are fully geared players, one hunter was like honor level 600+ and was the first to die mid after throwing trinket when no one is even engaged in combat yet) lmao. Not pressing buttons correctly is a way bigger culprit to lopsided matches than gear is rn
I can’t even count the amount of times over the years enemy players have saved me with bad cyclones and mindcontrols and unbreakable cc and bought enough time for our team to spin an objective and win

This is definitely true, both when talking about defensives and also when talking about doing damage. I’ve had a lot of games where the teams are pretty evenly matched on gear and yet the teamfights are complete stomps because one side knows how to do damage effectively and also how to live and the other side just doesn’t. The skill gap is always going to be a big problem in content that has no matchmaking.

i see that you have been playing this game since at least 2011. why are you just asking this question now? are you that oblivious or just got nothing to do?
