I know you can usually queue up with some friends in a group but do people actually pre-make a group just for random BGs? I honestly believe Blizzard needs to take out the options to queue up with people when doing random BGs and make it solo or at max 2 people. I think the state it is in now just makes random BGs annoying and painful to play if you are trying to get honor gear as a solo random player. I believe I shouldn’t go into a BG and there is Rival geared opponents on the other team. At the very least make it a gear cap. What are y’all’s thoughts on this?

Yes, sometimes. It’s more fun when you’re with friends.
This is an MMO, multiplayer is part of the name. Go play another game if it’s too difficult.
You’ll have to live with it. Or make friends and do it yourself.
Everyone has the ability to be wearing full 450 gear now. Conquest has been uncapped. Conquest boxes are available. Play your main to farm conquest. Send boxes to alts. The rating of other players doesn’t affect their gear level anymore.
However, if you wanted to change the way party sync works for low level BGs.
Or having an ilvl floor, which pulls everyone up to the minimum ilvl for PvP. These would be fine.
But trying to limit Randoms to a quasi solo shuffle in an MMO is silly.

Yes, they do. And it has nothing to do with gear since that’s equalized.
It’s nothing complicated, just a group of players listening to each other instead of randos running this way and that.

tbh I hate normalized gear expansions in randoms. Its great for rated bg pugging since you can easily gauge performance but for random bgs it splits the population. You have fresh alts who can’t touch any other form so they are at best max honor, then you have the all nighters who are full conquest who queue nonstop because who else would queue at full conquest, the rest are doing rated.
I much prefer the balance of mythic raiders and glads having a gear advantage so you can at least strategize around their cannon for an arm, even if you only get 1 every match its still fun to watch someone elite geared take on 3 challengers while a horde of combatants plays the objective.
Getting a full set of honor gear isn’t hard. You can run Epic BG’s for a few days and get more than enough honor points. I did it recently on an alt. It took three days and that was with most matches ending in a loss.

Honor gear will get you murdered at this point.
Most if not all premade teams are geared with conquest/tier set and embellishments.
You will just have to suffer unless you have a main who can help you out.

People saying play epics for a few days. Doesn’t even take that long. A single day of epics will be enough for full blue gear.

Last night, I cried a little while trying to heal my last bg. My team was getting slaughtered and there was nothing I could do lol

I’m actually taking into account that it’s a casual player. Even the most casual of casuals can fully gear via epic BGs in a few days. A veteran grinder in less than a day.
This is where the severely undergeared should be. They can hide in crowds. Scout backdoor. Man cannons. Man vehicles. They can actually be useful to their team and not just drag everyone else down that is near them.
Indeed this is how I’ve been gearing each of my new 70s. Buy the AH greens and do the scalewarden WQs and bloody token quests in between epic bg queues until I’m at least half blue.

I would definitely support premades of any kind, 2 or more people being completely removed from random BGs. If for no other reason it would split up friend groups and lead to those people having less fun with the game.
have to win games to get conquest. you just have to show up for welfare honor.
anyone who enjoys pvp will have capped honor for a full set of blues, a few wpvp pieces ready to be upgraded and perhaps even a crafted 450 piece on day one of being level 70.
