Legitimate question. i never saw the point of it to be honest. especially now with the ability to trade in wow tokens for gold.
Path 1: forcing immersion for optional immersion through quests and exploration.
path 2: optional immersion for the price of lots of gold.
I go for path 2. if you got time and enjoy doing the pathfinder, cool. but can we at least get an option to pay for the ability to fly like the old days?
Pretty sure it got old exactly 59 seconds after it was announced at the end of wod. Was it released during Christmas or something? I barely even remember it.
So have fly and no fly zones at launch like we had in Wrath. I think people are fine with max level no fly zones like timeless isle. But just having a year+ time gate for no reason is dumb
allow me to explain through my understanding.
getting gold requires money or effort.
getting path finder achievement requires effort.
Id rather do things that i enjoy to get gold (Or pay 20$) than feel forced or dragged into doing quests/achieves i care nothing about. after all! a game is supposed to be fun!
Right. It is one of the many “carrot on a stick” design choices Blizzard has gone with lately. Eventually people will get tired of waiting for or chasing the carrot though.
