Per title, now even if I have max mining knowledge, I cannot mine mounted anymore. Is it a bug?
Where are you attempting to mine? I’d check the verbiage on the skill ability, but I recall it stated “dragon isles” mining nodes, or herbs, etc.

I must point out that I’m using a traditional flight mount and not a dragonriding one
Lol the mounted mining/gathering is a dragonriding talent, that’s why.

Can only be done using a DR mount.
You could mine mounted with traditional mounts until this patch.

not true at all, I used to farm with traditional mounts everywhere in DF including emerald dream. It’s NOT a dragonriding skill. Literally did it until the patch.

I just tested Waking Shores. Auto dismounted when mining a node. Definitely a bug?
Thats my bad, i do remember mining using a regular mount, you are right, but can not remember it working for herbing.

I noticed it still works with normal mounts- just not while hovering any more. They seemed to have nerfed this.

I noticed it today with my main that mines…that I had to hit the ground in order to mine and not be dismounted …it wasn’t like that the other day cause I mine over in the Emerald Dream area for a few hours each day and never landed with my Love Rocket to mine…something is up…or went wrong…

If it’s a nerf it doesn’t make any sense other than kill fun/efficiency. Mining with dragonriding mounts is absolutely TERRIBLE, with the vigor mechanic, the hyper speed, hovering via an ability, etc. I waited this entire time to get classic flight to be able to enjoy gathering. If it’s a nerf, it’s bullcrap.

If you make sure you hit the ground you won’t get dismount using normal mount…but yeah there is something wrong now with mining with mounts…

Amen to that if they nerfed it …I damn well waited all that time to get my regular use of my Love Rocket to mine not that stupid dragon riding …I hate dragon flying to mine.

I tested it, you’re correct. But the whole point of mounted flying is to avoid aggro. So…
And yeah @Moused, I do hate dragonriding with a passion. I relax gathering materials, and this expansion has been SUPER PAINFUL for that.

Right we could hoover and mine at the same time what I was doing in that one spot in ED area that has tons of mobs around…I would hoover so not to aggro mobs there…
