If you are in a dungeon or raid alone you don’t risk player reports and you are probably fine. Your risk is players who think multiboxing is banned rather than just key cloning reporting you and Blizzard not investigating and just banning.

That’s not manual, if you press 1 button and all 5 clients do that it doesn’t matter if its an addon, software or even hardware, it’s against the new TOS.
For it to be okay you have to manually go to each client and perform the action yourself, not let anything do it for you.

This. Multiboxers at one point many years ago were fine. Now they ruin the game.
Once again, the boogieman of multiboxers stands in for illegal botters in people’s minds. You guys continue to make my dance sad.
Anyhoo, if your rotation looks like 1 tab 1 tab 1 tab 1 tab 1 tab 2 tab 2 tab 5 tab 3 tab 2 that should be fine. Blizzard has said, emphatically, that playing multiple instances of the game at the same time is fine, you just can’t be aided by hardware or software to do anything that the game can’t do by itself, as if multiple windows were in focus at the same time, or firing off long complicated multistep macros that can’t be programmed in to the macro interface in the game.
Here are some areas that would trip you up:
- Using any kind of hardware or software to send commands to non-focus windows of the game
- Programming external keypresses or sequences to fire through scripting, like pressing “alt-1” and in your programmable keyboard or Windows macro it outputs “5, alt-tab, 7, alt-tab, 3”
- Controlling multiple PCs or emulated PCs with one wireless keyboard and/or mouse
Be careful of addons, though, anything that purely uses LUA scripting and the game should be okay as Blizzard can and will break any addon that they don’t want people using, but some addons have external “helper” programs that can get you in trouble fast. Some like the one for controller emulation caused a big fuss and a lot of bans that were reversed before it was whitelisted, others like TSM are currently whitelisted, but any addon you find on a multiboxer forum with an external program of ANY kind, even something supposedly “totally simple that doesn’t even hook in to the game” that has the developers swearing up and down should be fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine I would not touch with a ten-foot pole.

You said you report everybody who is farming. So you are reporting players who are clearly not violating the rule in the hope that they will be banned by mistake.
The net result of false reporting of multiboxers is shifting of resources from investigation of bots. So are you a botter trying to deflect attention from your own activities?
Sorry I can’t support your demonstrably false narrative. But good luck with that botting! I hear it’s the best way to make a real life income in wow.

This is who I report, when I see obvious bot farms, spastically tab targetting, laying down ground-targeted spells in the exact same location, at the exact same interval, and who will fight turnips or the Void Tentacles from my heirloom trinket. If I facepull elites from the area, and their routine does not change, I send in a report.

This is “legit” manual multiboxing.
Moving my mouse between my monitors in order to catch globals. No automation, or software/hardware.
In the 2v3s you can clearly see when on is kiting/moving, the other legit does nothing, until you see my mouse move into that window. Mind you the movement it QUICK. But still, manual.
Oh and I make parody music videos!

Its ok as long as you do not use software or addons that mirror button presses, BUT no one is going to like you for it. We hate multiboxers because you ruin the economy. You’ll get reported and suspended for too many reports.
What if I don’t multibox gather?

No, I hate that crap. My income is mostly from questing and vendoring the stuff I get from old content I don’t need. I have no desire for large piles of gold and I pay my sub time with cash

i think its fine if you got a set of keyboard/mouse for each computer and actually do each presses manually.
i dont see much uses for it except maybe pocket healer in some specific scenarios?
