Is LFR gone from beta then?

Yeah, definitely some people will be leaving to play games that more align with their casual schedule.

Time is a flat circle.

As they should!! At the end of the day, this is an MMORPG and MMORPG requires a time commitment.

I wholeheartedly disagree that every/any MMO (massive player base) game should require a time commitment.

That mentality is what causes a game to enter small “niche” player base territory. You can remove the ‘massive’ from MMO if you start demanding time commitments from the people paying to play your game and dictating how they should enjoy their game time.

Okay well I’m sorry you feel that way, but that’s the way it is. WoW at it’s very core requires a time commitment. It’s nice to see Blizzard feels that way about MoP’s LFR, hopefully this is experimentation to remove it from retail as well!

The G stands for “game”. If it stood for “job”, it would be MMORPJ.

This is stupid, those are different games.

I want to play WoW for the WarCraft lore and world.

Do you not know how to read? I’m in favor of LFR. I’m not even considering MoP Classic, why would I even lmao.

Raids are for people who are bad at PvP lol.

Alrighty!

And you can certainly do just that! If you cannot be bothered to look into the LFG interface and interact with other people, then you can go ahead and look up the raids on YouTube.

i want to PLAY WarCraft, not WATCH WarCraft. Especially in something lore-heavy like the Legendary questline, I want to RP the hero myself. On YT you only watch unfamiliar characters that play the game different than I would.

If the Legendary questline was still available in Retail, I would rather solo MoP LFR there.

They do address the Legendary story for H+ progression though, however I am worried they change the lore in the quest text, rather than e.g. adding Final Boss Scenarios.

like this:
Wrathion: “You need to kill the Sha of Fear to get that essence, however if you are not up to it, the essence from Sha of Violence in Shadopan Monastery, infused with Celestial power, will suffice.”

This would be even less like MoP was back in 2012. More like MoP Remix 2.0 rather than Classic.

edit:

  • Infused with occasional raid-level mechanics and enemies, including appearances from bosses of the current raid tier.

I guess we get to kill raid-bosses for Legendary progress, after all. But I am not sure if it is a good idea, why not simply change LFR wings into 5-player mega-dungeons instead.

Great! You can play the raids via the LFG interface!

This is just dumb. I mean I won’t be playing MoP classic as I played through all of it when it was current, but this is dumb. I mean if you want to make a change, get rid of the lame Talent system they put in. That was so awful trash then and still is to this day.

yes this 100% for sure.

well, I’m unsubbed.

its such nonsense. I’m just glad I didn’t waste any more money on the game.

See you in the Jade Forest.

I’m not gonna unsub, but I am going back to plan B. Now A again.
Making a twink char in retail that’s just high level enough I can solo the raids but still have to think a bit, and so I can play through the campaign again. Missing the Wrathion quest will be a bit sad but I can live with that.
I could care less about the gear. the lfr gear could be only a bit better than the basic heroic dungeon gear and I wouldn’t care. I just wanted to play ez mode on occasion to relive nostalgia, because MoP as it was is essentially what Vanilla WoW was to a lot of Classic nerds for me.
It is no longer as it was, so I won’t be there.

Hard disagree. There were lots of casual player after phase 1. Maybe your definition of “sweat” means “checks WarcraftLogs”?
