There seems to be a removal of the LFR tab in the LFG finder along with there being a new npc with the title of August Stone Fragment Exchange. Any clarification on this from blizzard?
Another fun fact, try /lfr or /rf
It doesn’t work anymore…
The only reason I am interested in MoP Classic is to replay removed quest-lines again.
Without LFR, the Legendary questline will not be accessible the same way it was back in MoP Retail. This is a serious disappointment.
I hope we can at least grind the non-boss specific quest items in Celestial Dungeons. But will Wrathion still comment on the Lore when a titan tablet drops in a dungeon?
It seems in the dungeon journal, LFR items are marked celestial and there is a celestial dungeon in the LFD menu.
Boots I got from LFR during the last raid testing cycle now say celestial on them. So I would say there is a 99.9% chance of them just getting rid of LFR entirely for the hard mode dungeons.
They should not remove LFR. It is a vital part of the expansion and my desire to play will be severely deflated if so
Ideally, I would love to have H+ and LFR available at the same time.
Those 2 systems aren’t mutually exclusive.
You can still complete the quests in normal or heroic
Yes, LFR is gone.
No, I’m not okay with that.
I don’t play normal or heroic. I do not have the endurance to do so.
I am unable to focus for maybe several hours of running a raid and I can not calculate player behavior into predicting my performance limits.
When I thought the Classic team couldn’t fail any harder…
Then why do you want the legendary to be available to you? You can just watch a youtube video of the quests
I was really hoping we could finally leave the “lol, just do more dungeons” system behind here
So which god awful decision do you guys think they’re going to go with?
- Only people who schedule their life around this game are going to be able to follow the main story and get their cloak (and the raids will be SUPER sweaty, toxic, and gatekept so that their lockouts don’t get “ruined”)
- You can farm out the entire thing in dungeons and have the questline make zero sense
If LFR is gone, MOP will be the most elitist version of classic to ever exist. What a shame. Especially because it worked fine in beta lmao
I just don’t understand how they bring us in for beta to test their game and provide feedback, have a section on the forums for beta, and then not say anything on the subject at all when it’s been a hot topic.
I’d like to think the reason for the silence is that they haven’t made a final decision (in which case just SAY so!), but based on the things we CAN see, it’s not looking good.
Why would I play WoW or any video game if I just could watch it on YT?
Because I want to be involved and immersed.
To experience a story in WoW means to learn and develop you character. Having challenging modes is fine, but not necessary to experience a story. This is why the Legendary questline was developed with LFR in mind in the first place, being accessible to everyone.
I am not a fan of LFR for the same reason I have issues with raiding. But at least I have control on how long I play or how much I interact with other players. This helps me to experience the Legendary questline as the content I actually care about.
I think the reason for the silence is they just want to string players along. Maybe sell some extra Deluxe Editions people might not buy if no LFR was confirmed.
The removal of LFR definitely decreases the quality of the expansion significantly. It was fun to jump in on alts and so on - really the only version of the game that I ever played more than one character significantly despite there being more to do than ever.
Also, with celestial heroics being released in the first phase, seems like it will cause issues getting together decent normal heroics via RDF in phase 1 (as the groups rapidly split around those who’ve gotten the minimum ilevel for Celestial v. those who have not).
MoP heroics are very very easy. I wouldn’t be too worried about that part.
Why does the classic team hate lfr? Have they explained why they don’t want it in the game?
add flex raid difficulty at the very least to the 1st 2 tiers.
