Is Korrak not worth fixing, as it is limited time?

If they have some time, I hope they fix it up.

I think this is a more fun version of AV.

This is what I’m saying. They’re WORTHLESS to those who try to play the game like the Normal AV BG. Which People are GOING TO DO regardless because it’s the most effective way to win the BG.

And this is why people are complaining about in the BG. The greater majority of players want to Zerg. But Zerging doesn’t work unless you have the entire Team working towards that goal. But Players who que into Korrak’s Revenge want to do the quests, not “Win as quickly as possible.”

So you get the Group split into part Zerging, part Running Quests (and a few AFKing) and that Strategy just leads to failure. And the Zergers do nothing but complain about the Questers, despite the fact that’s literally the point of the game.

So really, best way to fix the game is to make Zerging less effective.
But that’ll never happen.

You can keep repeating the same incorrect answer all you want but you’re still wrong.

You can do that by yourself. 5 people defeinding Iceblood Graveyard for the Horde immediately turns the game into an Alliance Turtle. Holding Stonehearth for the Alliance turns the game into a Horde turtle.

While you cannot sway an entire BG by yourself, you can certainly change the course of the BG by capturing key areas.

Its why I always take Snowfall and recap Iceblood. I’m here for old school AV, not a race to the end.

I do that on occasion too. But it gets boring defending alone.
And I get a lot of grief from Zergers complaining about me “afking” at the GY…

I wish I could join Alliance groups when I merc mode. I’d happily join anyone who tries to break up the zerg strat.

Your argument is confused. Your first post says people don’t do the quests because they contribute nothing and are worthless (wrong). You then say that the majority of players want to zerg. Those two things are not connected.

Increasing the effectiveness of the turn-ins would not discourage zerging.

Stronger NPCs in general would help discourage the zerg, as would increasing rewards for length of games.

Flesh for you!

All these can be turned in and unleash gryphons or wyverns, which rain death from above - stun bombs and fireballs.

A less RP answer would be it summons wind riders or gryphon riders who stay on your side of the map and shoot down on players below them. They’re tough but killable.

The different wing commander units have different patrols. A good rule of thumb is they will patrol the area you rescued them from (eg. Mulv’s wyvern will attack Dun Baldar). You can also get a beacon to summon air raiders into the field of strife.

Thats so hilariously useless!

I would like to see them make it a more permanent option since it’s potentially more interesting than modern AV (even though it’s mostly just used to afk XP currently). Fix some of the issues making it easy to AFK and avoid getting kicked + any significant bugs + add current PvP rewards for max level players (or any player when appropriate) like some conquest for winning + boxes or whatever.

I also think they could add the port to base rune in the form of a special action button so it’s more accessible. Currently nobody wants you to even do the quest to get the item that has limited charges. If the feature was more accessible + there were better rewards for winning, I think people would do more turn ins + actually try to win (more an issue for Alliance currently). It could have a cooldown.

Maybe even add rewards for specific events as well IE:

  1. Kill Balinda/Galv: get small amount of conquest + a strongbox (currently nobody bothers with them)

  2. If your team successfully summons Ivus or Lok, get some conq and a strongbox

  3. If a Flight Commander makes it back to your base, get some reward

  4. Get a decent chunk of bonus honor for everyone in the general area (or if you participated but died) when you kill a commander/lt

  5. Get bonus honor for your entire team when hitting successful turn in thresholds like armor bonuses or summoning Calvary etc.

  6. When the game ends give bonus rewards of some kind to both teams for any tower they still have up + Balinda/Galv

  7. Maybe to make oldschool long battles a potential thing that doesn’t feel as pointless, give batches of bonus honor or other rewards every so many HKs?

I had a good game at the start where we had summoned Ivus so the majority of our team went south with him, unaware that there were 8 or so Horde riding around the side trying to cap SHB. The gryphon was out and was stunning them in the field long enough for other patrols to catch them, so the gryphon + others sent them straight back to Frostwolf.

Agree those are the least useful but they were invented when most people fought in the Field. They also protect the graveyards so you might like one to keep people from recapping Snowfall. :joy:

You can buy a toy which does the same thing from the vendor in the tunnel . The guy standing on the left near the gate .

Sidenote, merc mode is kind of broken in AV.

For example, I cant hearth back to the base because I’ve run out of runes. I can’t use the toy in merc mode.

In addition, none of my demons I summon besides my Felguard attack the Horde NPCs when I’m merc moding. My imps just sit there, and my demonic hounds walk up to the NPC and stare at them.

It’s because they recognize they are kin

Who would have thought wild imps would have more honor than me?

Wild animals often do …

I didn’t notice the toy’s on the vendor before but as mentioned above they don’t seem to work in Merc mode.

You get both trinkets when you use the toy, but the Stormpike insignia does not work in merc mode since it says “Alliance Only” and does not consider you Alliance while in merc mode.

Does the absence of a blue post or Korrak map fix mean its permissible to afk for levels?

I think that’s a question that every player answers for themselves.

Will a blue post really change anyone’s mind?
