Is it worth trying to get my money back?

I am utterly crushed that my account was taken from me. I have not ever bought gold, or used anything other than mainstream add-ons. I have had my account since 04-05. I got a ban out of the blue for hacking/exploits. I play all of the time due to being disabled from work. The response they gave me was that “the decision was reviewed and confirmed”.

My question is, I had purchased a yearly sub in March, and since recruiting a friend, I had some extra months in there. The e-mail that I received from blizz said that my sub was cancelled (obviously with the ban) but that the sub expires on 5/6/26. Is there any hope that I can get a refund? I feel so blindsided by this behavior from my appeal process and I am at a loss for what I can actually do. Any help would be appreciated.

Sadly, no. Any and all game time on a license is forfeited in the event the license is banned

You wont get your money back however i would suggest keep appealing we’ve seen some of these bans been escalated and overturned no promises but all u can do is try.

I was hoping that wasn’t the case of course… I appreciate you replying.

If the suspension is upheld it can’t hurt to ask. Refunds are possible if none of the time block has been used. The worst that can happen is they say no.

Doing a charge back would be fraud. Read the rules you agreed to. Yes, you agreed that they can close your account without refund.

Best not to provide advice such as charge backs.

Yes, it does. Any suspension or account action longer than 2 weeks automatically results in cancellation of any re-occuring charges.

Blizzard provided the game service as agreed to in the contract. When someone violates the contract terms, then they lose access to the game. In this case, the OP was banned for violations the anti-cheat rules. Blizzard did not commit fraud or theft. They are operating as per the terms of the EULA was all agreed to - that says if you break the rules you don’t get a refund when you get a penalty.

Charge back are realy bad because blizzard will make u pay a arm and a leg to get back in there good graces to pay off the chargeback.

There is no TOS. There is an Eula. Next time if you’re asked to agree or decline it, you’ll want to decline it if your personal definition of theft varies from what it really means.

Probably. Not because it is right to do, but because the bank won’t bother investigating or arguing over a low level charge. Not unless the customer has a history of such things which would prompt an investigation.

Of course, they won’t ever be doing business with Blizzard again unless they repay the amount.

Just like if you get kicked out of a movie or theme park for breaking the rules you agreed to, you don’t get your ticket refunded.

You are here to argue though. Not to engage in honest discourse.

I find it amusing when people try to rules lawyer and don’t even know what the basic contract document we agreed to is.

There isn’t anything to discuss.

There’s “opinions” and there’s “the appeals process and Blizzard’s EULA”.
