Even if nobody was trolling, they let a bunch of people that don’t even run keys pick the dungeons for keys. Of course it got scuffed, the result was obvious lol.
Revisit this post after the first sang volcanic week. Depot is cancer. No one who does m+ voted for it, and if they did they’re either room temperature iq or extremely short sighted.
Other dungeons will have problems, too, depot is just the most obvious right now. I don’t think upper Kara will even be possible at all on a storming week.
Next time, Mythic+ people should complain about the dungeons they want.
Gosh I know right??? It is glaringly obvious that the M+ experience is awful right now. I sucked up my negativity, gave all the dungeons valiant efforts, learning a lot, all that… but they just don’t flow well, they aren’t fun.
So the way voting on the forums work is you get a vote for EVERY alt. so some dudes can use all fifty of their alts.
yeah I literally have like 10+ characters that could have voted. Considering thats how we got this steaming pile of-Grimrail, it angers me that Blizzard is that dense.
the best part is that this doesn’t really affect elitists it hurts the casual M+ runner that just dabbles in it. High key players have the luxury of picking and choosing what dungeons they run on what affixes. Literally friendly fire lol.
They gave EVERY player the choice. So lots of people with no actual ramifications for their vote got to add in, and grim rail was a popular Time walking dungeon and on top of that people begged for it not to be picked.
I think the developers were well intentioned but came up short by not removing options that just wouldn’t fit well with the current iteration of M+ affixes at all.
Granted, look at Karazhan. Its pretty open and a train wreck at the moment. So I’ll wait to see how it shakes out after hopefully a lot more adjustments to the dungeons are made so they’re suitable for M+.

Grimrail is a dumb decision and it was picked via poll.
I don’t think it’s trolling, though.
I’m sure it defeats the point (saving development time), but I’d almost prefer if it was more of a “here are dungeons we’d like to re-imagine for M+, pick your favorite two.”
Whatever poll you do, just don’t do it on the forums.

If they want to get the Achievements and /or push their score they need to do them all.

Totally. I play a lot of keys and I had no idea this was going on. M+ Is literally all I do in the game… I think I deserved a vote. But I don’t visit the forums enough to know there was a vote going on… and I never do PTR so I want there to complain early on lol

Just remember that the next time somebody goes “why don’t they listen to the community” that the community voted Grimrail in as a keystone dungeon.

No one who actually voted Grimrail did it because they wanted to play it.
They did it because they weren’t going to do mythics and wanted to screw over people who would.

It’s depressing though, because they actually were listening to ‘the community’ and 9.2 + 9.2.5 was so amazing. the game was in such a brilliant place… but now its like the community ruined everything…
but still why did they rely on a forum vote for dungeon cycle stuff that is soooooo…like… WHAT?!
we’ll never agree on who should have voted but I feel the vote should’ve gone to characters meeting certain M+ treshholds only. Then again that is like excluding LFR raiders from voting on raiding so the forums would have raged that way…
It’s not even a matter of like… “oh here’s some new dungeons I haven’t played yet. It will be fun learning them and I’m excited I get to enjoy this new content.”
The dungeons are such low quality. Boring. The pull patterns suck. Tons of one shot mechanics. Annoying floor mechanics that seem random and thus feels like it doesn’t flow well. Largely an eye sore. And oh yeah by the way some of this content is almost 9 years old so ya sorry, I know you were enjoying shadowlands but you can’t play it anymore. Enjoy this new content no one likes.
