Yes it is being broken it was confirmed in a blue post, but they said it might take a few weeks after release.

Just click on the blue tracker at the top of the Classic forums. You will see their response.
Doubt they will do anything about it.
The current version of it has forced blizzard to close off aspects of the API to prevent automation. How they are going to do it and what is going to change is yet to be seen.
Limited is not “broken” or “nuked” I have a strong feeling any automation will be nuked but it is well within their thought process it for it to be like a “bulletin board” for /4

I doubt they would make the post they made if they didn’t intend to do anything about it. There is video of them talking specifically as well about how they will not be allowing certain types of addons for Classic. This addon fell into that category.
Posting their intent is one thing, but they can’t break this addon without breaking many others. Also by breaking it they would be making the problem worse because it will just lead to Discord LFG being used. Some people are too idealistic to see this though…

It seems that they are fully aware of this fact. Here’s the quote:

Riiiiiight. They’re bluffing.
They will probably remove the auto-invite function along the option to automatically form groups in World zones, therefore you will be required to use the addon only in main cities.
If Blizzard is unable to achieve some sort of fix that will please them then they will most likely issue a warning to those using it which may include account actions if the usage of the addon continues.
The decision was to limit the API.
If your addon has a function that gets broken because they want to limit their API, that’s a gigantic “too bad, so sad” at addon creators/users.
