Yes games a dumpster fire.
It may be a dumpster fire but I’m gonna dance in said fire at least for awhile because I haven’t found another one better lol.
Game is still a lot of fun if you know how to find it…
You’re an idiot lol
I’d say now is a pretty good time to hop in. It’s the middle of phase 2 content. WoW population is in decline causing guilds to have difficulty recruiting even on populated servers. As long as you’re motivated and get attuned for raids you should be all set.
I wasn’t able to dig into TBC Classic much because of work.
Recently trying to get back into it now:
-if you play on a big server the economies are healthy. Mats are going to be hard to make much gold on due to bots but making gold quickly is still completely doable.
-Guilds are not only still recruiting but still forming.
-Cities are still well populated enough to make my computer angry when I first load into them.
Another thing to consider is that Wrath is almost certainly going to happen and if you want a non-DK main for that then now is a great time to get them started.
The worst thing will be finding groups for dungeons because everyone just wants to get boosted through them. You can still find groups, mind you, but prepared for it to take a while (what I wouldn’t give for them to just enable the actual Burning Crusade group finder we had in the day so I could look for a group while doing other things).
Yes keep playing if you like wrath.
When wrath comes out move your toon to a wrath server.
When Wrath comes out I am going to stop my XP on most of my alts and main.
I will be staying in Outland until I am geared from Raids than move on to Wrath.
Yeah if I had to play catch-up in one of the version’s I’d go Retail for sure. You’ll have the slog of whatever temporary power grind you have to do, but after that it’s just a lot of grinding for gear and you can get caught up pretty quickly if you’re willing to invest the hours into that grind.
As far as TBC goes I think one can still reasonably catch-up to a decent guild. Getting into a guild that is only partially clearing T5 is doable, they are aplenty. You will have lots of grinding for attunements and such, depending on server that may be difficult, but is otherwise doable. Gold situation is mediocre, it’s not overly impactful like it was in Vanilla, but it still plays a role and if you are on a meta server farming consumables can be difficult.
