Is it time?

im thinking about taking another long break from WoW.

this game leaves me with more wants than fulfilled desires.

ive been playing end-game for 5 years now and its just not what it used to be for me.

im done chasing whatever i was after.

theres so much that could and should have been done with this game and it sometimes leaves me heartbroken on how things have been wasted and tossed aside in lieu of “the new”

i might go back to chasing other games that have an open core and start making my own servers and writing code and that kind of thing again.

making new maps, new encounters, writing stories, world populating. catering to the playerbase of my server when i can.

sometimes it just burns me to see where things are and where they could be and sometimes wow brings that out in me. the hyperfocus on the meta and IO or whatver rating your after has superseded the lust for deep, lore rich, genuine experiences that last a lifetime.

Leaving note:
if i could get my hands on a copy of the New World game core and editing program and have re-invest atleast 60-80% of revenue into dedicated GM’s that would moitor the game for fraud/hacks that would be the life.

peace all.

not sure if ill be signing into the game tomorrow to chase that 1-3 profession points or not.

Take a break, when you are feeling burn out always take a break.

You are meant to play other games. Come back refreshed in 11.1.5 or 11.2.

I think your feedback should be valued more by the Devs. I don’t even play WW content I’m re-playing the legion expansion on an alt. lol

im thinking that it might even be a longer break than that @voidarcane
as much as i cherish each solo shuffle fight ive been in there just so much more im looking for in a game that leaves me feeling empty right now.

id love to join New World again, but like everything out there its been botted and scammed to near death by the mega elites.

as a professions guy mainly, new world was an amazing experience to start out with. it was… beautiful…

i need a new laptop to keep up with the rest of the gang and i dont think ill be able to afford one this year comming as im going through bankruptcy and sorting cans for miniumum wage to pray i meet rent. but hopefully tides will turn and ill be able to go out and harvest some hemp and berries and other beautifuly works of electronic art in the future with a smile on my face for a fair price.

Well that will probably be 6 to 9 months to 11.2. But still, keep your account secure and have a nice break.

Keep up with the news because there may be an event you enjoy or want to participate in such as the expected Legion Remix this upcoming winter.

Until then have fun storming the castle.

I recently skimmed a video where this guy made a massive spreadsheet to “statistically analyze” the features of all current mmos with the intention of “scientifically” finding the best numerical mmo on the market. His final analysis was a tie between WoW and FFXIV as number 2, with whichever one you prefer as the #1. I was very sad.

thank you man. one thing that is never in doubt is that my account with world of warcraft will be secure for a LONG time in the future.

i dont like the whole idea of “remix”. i wont participate in that.
the first time plunderstorm was around i had about 20 games of it and really enjoyed myself but it was away from what i wanted to be playing and that was WoW Retail.

I just dont know anymore.

with my current perspective that nearly every game is hacked/cheated/botted/macroed/micromanaged/meta’d/analized to death.

maybe i just need a break away from all games for a while.

not sure what I’ll do.

i dont watch TV or Movies.

my laptop cant handle new games.

maybe ill just keep my wow sub and chug along but at a reduced rate.

maybe ill only log in 2-3 times a week for an hour instead of binging for 3-5 nights a week.

almost seems like a waste of a sub then though.

anyways, thanks for the conversation and words.

im sure i’ll figure something out

I’m with you, mate. Came back about 6 months ago. Had fun for a bit, but with all the bugs, horrible changes etc., time to go back to FFVIV. Yes, Dawntrail is awful but still better than this mess.

Plus, my cpu fans need a break.

Really? Couldn’t come up with something not 20 years old?

Sometimes you need a break to feel for the game again.

My last one was 6 years. Only reason I came back was because Dawntrail sucked. Back to bored games, I guess.

I also share the same feeling about DT. Did both extremes and started on Savage Arcadion. Got so dry so fast and quit on M1S.

Only liked the Cowboy zone and Solution 9.

Send me your gold. Play guardians of the galaxy 2021. Good game. Then play cyberpunk.

When I see posts like this, it almost feels like the main poster is asking for permission to go do other things.

Go be free, have fun and do what you find fun. I mean this is the kindest way possible.

wow is one of the most toxic games i have ever played in my life and the forums community is just as bad at some times (not this current post. were doing good here folks)

sometimes i just have a strong drink and cigarette and absorb the toxicity and dive into the headlong and yell at people who yell at me for being average.

but MAN this game is toxic as hell

imagine you cant see anyone elses scores, no addons no macros, no multi box, no dps meters, no IO, no PvP rating.
CAN YOU?
