Hello Shaman.
Do you think Shamans will stay this powerful next season?
They are Kings of healing, Really high tier for DPS and seem to be getting more buffs in the next patch. I’m currently playing a druid but they just feel so lack luster in all content except PVP where Cat feels decent.
I would like to get into M+ more but not sure i can do it as a Druid (other than tank). So is shaman worth rolling?
I don’t think its fair to say they are kings of healing. They are in a good spot sure. But world first race didn’t have many… World first comp did not have any.
All the healers are good frankly. All the specs are also viable.
The healers all have unique playstyles. I would suggest to pick your healer based on the playstyle or theme that appeals to you.
If you chase the flavor you will always end up disappointed in the end. I’m not saying don’t try out shaman. They are a ton of fun right now if you like classes with a lot going on.
Hope you’re great at managing mana though.
That’s why I picked druid and im highly disappointed at how hard it is to get a group and how poorly they heal. Even with all the buffs they got its just not enough to be viable.
The only viable spec for Druid right now is Bear.
toxic opinion. everything is viable unless your top 1% world first chaser
Play what you enjoy. I’m personally really enjoying resto shaman and the .5 changes to ele look fantastic, so I’m planning to switch to shaman myself. Performance-wise there’s no reason to expect shamans to fall off a cliff anytime soon, but with tier-set bonuses being a wildcard anything is possible.

1000% disagree. Blizzard has always had FOTM classes. This expansion is no different.
with the amount of classes and spec its imposable to have every healer preform the same.
If you played restoration druid then you might as well cry and find ANYH NEW CLASS TO PLAY
if you don’t care about tanking, then Shaman is probably the best class, as you can either melee or range dps, and you can heal. No other Healer in game (except Druids) have the choice between Range and Melee DPS.
They have many QOL abilities
Wolf form (which works indoor)
Water walking
Self resurrection
Earth Elemental
Also totems are very unique to the class
And they bring BloodLust to the group, and a unique buff for melees.
And range dps with a shield? pretty unique 
I didn’t say they perform the same. I said all are viable, and its true. Seeing as your profile is 8/8 LFR, I would say you have no need to reroll for performance reasons.
Mage has shield and lust. Not so unique. In fact I would say you would rather have a brez healer than a lust healer in keys. Most keys would probably have a mage (meta) or hunter or aug/voker so lust is usually covered.

Oh. Yes the addition of skyfury really helps. Before TWW resto shaman brought no unique buff to keys.
Shield is useless. Its not like classic where the armor makes a difference. If the tank dies, and you are getting hit instead you will die quickly. Maybe 2-3 hits.
Elemental shamans are definitely getting a big nerf next patch. They’re losing massive amounts of utility and defensive power due to CDR removal. Even if they get a damage buff it’s still a net nerf.
I’ve been playing shaman on and off since vanilla. I enjoy pain, that’s why. Don’t roll a shaman. One week you are top of the charts. Next week you are getting nerfed.
We are the pinata class.
I already made the switch from resto to resto, hopefully the next patch makes druid a competitive option again but until then shaman is best option without a overly annoying gimmick to heal with.
Resto Druids are excellent healers. Plus druids have every role. WoW has conditioned players to think that everything below optimum is crap.
I remember in WoD we had pure dps trying to roll off spec on gear because it didn’t have multistrike. /facepalm
Don’t chase fotm. And like someone said, if you’re not in the top 1% it didn’t matter. Anyone who isn’t wanting a Druid in their group is clueless
Yeah, any class/spec can do wild things in the right hands. If you’re really good at the “worst” spec in the game, you’ll beat the majority of FOTM rerollers. You might not get invited to stuff as readily (because people are narrow-minded) but you’ll be a better player while maining what you enjoy.
Druids are no different sadly.
