Is it possible to transfer a character to another account?

I had an original account with all my achievements, mounts, etc that is very old from 2007 and I played it all the way until 2020, then quit and tried to come back and realized I forgot the password and got locked out of it, couldn’t remember my security questions, etc.

So I then made this new account since I had no other options.

But a few days ago when cleaning out a storage unit I found my old account information on a piece of paper, and was able to get back into it.

But I don’t want to lose all the progress I’ve made on this new account.

Is it possible for me to transfer my characters on this account to my older account?

I bought the expansion for my old account in order to facilitate moving my level 80s over.

But I can’t find any option to transfer them that way, is it not possible?

I looked up on battle net and it says you can’t merge 2 accounts, but says nothing about transferring just a few characters from 1 account to another?

They have disabled transfering of characters between BNet accounts for a some time now.

On the character transfer page, it says

It is no longer possible to transfer character across BNETs or move individual WOW accounts due new announced restrictions. Support cannot bypass this.

That’s so lame and terrible man.

Why did they do this?

I have achievements on my new account I can never get on my old account again and appearances as well such as the ones from MoP Remix.

This makes me want to close both accounts and not touch a Blizzard game again out of spite. Who does this change help?

This is not something that can be answered here, and this is on the basis of the development decision.

If you want to suggest on bringing it back, I would recommend the appropriate forums such as General Discussion maybe, or the In-Game Feedback tool.

If I had my own guess, it could also help towards combat people who sell characters, which is against the EULA, but that is my own guess. As I said, this is something on the basis of the development decision.

Annadar,

Even if you could still transfer characters - the vast majority of achievements never went with the character. They stayed on the original Battlenet.

Even farther back, when a license could be transferred - same thing, things shared at the Bnet level stayed with the originating Bnet.

Don’t be like that towards Orlyia as all they’re doing is providing with some more accurate information for you. After all, they aren’t the ones making the decisions, and they aren’t the one responsible for how the game or accounts works.
