Which is understandable. These things are tricky with all that coding and everything we need.
Agreed. Likes and flags should be tied to one’s account, not per character though definitely dont want my Bnet out there for all the world to see. If they could find a way to merge the two, limited/account likes/flags and our character names that would be a perfect world.
Sadly we dont live in said world but who knows maybe after the CMs get to review this thread they can make headway in that direction.
Or the last thread.
Does anyone know how flags work? Will one flag get a CM’s attention?
I don’t think anyone has this info yet, Tov. I imagine so, but without thorough testing, I couldn’t say.
And to be fair it wasn’t a call out thread. It was a thread designed around a question which was produced from witnessing events take place in another thread. So it lead me to question and wonder exactly how the system worked
I thought you’d get in trouble for both mass liking on one bnet account, and mass flagging? Yikes though. I wanted to dip into see for myself. Seems like that isn’t the case.
Well judging from my overfull mailbox, once you get a post hidden automatically, it sits awaiting moderator review. No clue how many flags it takes to get a post hidden.
Are you notified when you receive a flag? Or only when its hidden?
Nah, I don’t think moderators would have a problem with someone mass-liking their own posts. That’s not abuse, that’s just dumb and pathetic.
Trying to get someone else silenced on your own judgment by abusing the flagging system with your alts, though…
That’s definitely a no-no.
When it’s hidden.
Only when hidden.
You get a notification message from the system and your post becomes hidden. Those who wish to see it can unhide it but it remains hidden otherwise.
As far as I know just when it’s been hidden.
Thanks all. So I could have a flag right now and not know it? Seems like something you should know right away.
If today is anything to go by, flags aren’t worth the pixels that died to make them.
Poor blizz has about 100 flagged posts because of a particular individual.

I just got another post hidden. He’s still doing it, desperately trying to get this thread locked.

And also a few tickets pipelined directly to moderators to inquire about said behavior.
If our hunches are accurate, that person is likely to have a bad day.
Least their work day will fly by
