Is it possible for

Wow, that’s weird! 0 likes? Where did all of your fans go? Yet posts calling you out are still being flagged.

Perhaps they’re looking for the settings that keep their pet collection information private.

Blizzard has historically not taken a liking to people circumventing their systems.

Whaaaaat? No one’s circumventing anything. What slander!

Sorry, I flagged one of your posts because it seemed like a very trolly post to make. Before the evidence started rolling in.

I was just going to sit by and watch this dumpster fire but “the person being called out in this thread who is obviously doing it” flagged my posts so I’m putting in a ticket. It’s pretty obvious there needs to be a way for the community to unflag posts that obviously aren’t in violation of anything.

We should probably be lucky we’re still able to use specific characters to post as vs using battle tag. Be a shame if someone spam flagging got it changed eventually

Can you unflag it?

I did not know you could even see that stuff. These forums are starting to grow on me. Slight problem with the flagging though…

Whoa, whoa. Remove the name from your post. We already know who did it – you don’t need to tell us. But saying their name is against the actual rules, not just the ones in their head.

I could at first, but it’s too late now, unfortunately.

They REALLY need to tie all characters to one forum account. Multi-flagging from one account, and having Trust levels different for each character, are really bad ideas.

The flagging is pretty much the same as reporting under the old forums. The issue is when people abuse the system

So they can go around and false flag an entire thread but we can’t call them out. Amazing.

Well, I put in the ticket, it’s in Blizz’s hands now.

This is definitely the funniest response in this thread. I love it even though Im almost positive this thread will be locked and or deleted in the next 30-1hr

Callout threads/posts have been against the rules from the beginning. Why else do you think the thread itself makes no mention of the individual believed to be abusing the flagging system?

It does no good to point at someone else breaking the rules if insodoing you break the rules yourself.

They do have all of our characters to choose from, so they already know that they’re attached to our account. They could simply make it a rule that likes and flags are account wide. I’d think.

But don’t quote me on that. I don’t know the backend of this system to know how the coding works.

I’d rather not have my Bnet tag shown, though. I like my character name better.

Hey, check out this thread that got temporarily closed due to mass false flagging. Scroll down to the bottom and work your way up, recognize anyone?

Agreed, I think they COULD do it easily. I just wish they would.

I also agree that I want to keep my character name over my BNet tag. But I don’t think what displays should be tied to what’s allowed to flag and Like.

Discourse is a pre-made platform adapted to the WoW forums. That’s why there’s a middle finger emoji – Blizz themselves would never have put that in.

They’re adapting the platform to their needs over time I’m sure, but it’s not going to be perfect for a while.
