Playing a warlock was the main reason why I stuck with WoW since it felt so cool being powerful and their toolkit being so vast. I remember when I needed to think about what ability I should use in what situation. Nowadays it’s the same rotation for every type of content and it’s making me go crazy.

Wait 2 years for a new expansion to see one spec rework and 10 different systems which never pan out. It’s so frustrating knowing the spec I love will not see any attention till 10.0, and it’s still such a slim chance for it being reworked in the first place.
Cause they are listening to the players that want nostalgia from older expacs. Like less loot (ppl love that don’t they) old spells back (more useless spells on the bar) and now valor tokens but just for high mythic+ keys… Guess how that’s going to turn out.

I should expect naught short of that, seeing how the wheel e’er must in the prelude to an expansion be reinvented, and loathe it no less therefor.

It’s crazy to play a game like GW2 and then to come to WoW and see the difference in the depth and feel of classes.
I laughed when they said we’re bringing back old spells, such a sad attempt at trying to bring back identity. You choose the lamest spells when you have 16 years of spells to pick from. Like eyes of the beast and warlock curses? Seriously?

For me personally, I would much rather deal with learning a new rotation from a rework mid expac then having to deal with a mechanically flawed spec for 2 years. Like I’m not a child I’m pretty sure I can relearn how to play a spec in a matter of days. We have alts don’t we? It’s just such a lame excuse

The fact that playing a WoD private server classes are so much more enjoyable then retail classes says a lot about the state of the game.

And of course Blizz stans fell for it hook, line and sinker. Sometimes, this community truly embraces the lowest pandering done to them like “Banner Bae” or “unpruning”. Cringe. But maybe that’s just gamer-types for you.

I want to love GW2 since necromancer is awesome but the combat really doesn’t do it for me. Cheers to you finding another MMO you enjoy

I’m so sorry.
For me, GW2 is all-dressed-up-no-where-to-go. Unlike you, I like the combat but the game is shallow in a different way.
There is no perfect MMO. but I will say that their actual class system puts WoW"s current one to shame.
