Is it just me or was Gilneas Reclamation SEVERELY disappointing?

The Quest chain needed to be a lot longer in my opinion.

No it’s not just you. It’s basically a max level version of a few of the vanilla Tirisfal Glades quests.

The Scarlet Crusaders also made it feel like we were fighting murlocs. So much chaos and disarray and virtually no threat. The only thing we were missing was the constant "MRRRGLGGLGGLLGLGL"s. Pretty sure even just one of the Greymanes could have handled the situation on their own.

Eh, the only thing Genn would do is scream at the Sky

“Scaaaarlleeeeets!”

I’m not sorry :eyes:

But as I said I think they are trying to set the Scarlets up for a role in TWW.

It took less time to complete than the Heritage Armor quests and had more of a build up.

They added two cities in this patch. Neither of them matters. Gilneas is a short and boring event. And the new tree

 Wow
Call me super duper impressed. I think i’ll go back to FF4 pixel remaster on steam.

There should be a FP added.

the forums will not let me use the kind of language this whole patch and, most of all, the gilneas reclamation deserves

It didn’t take long at all, no. My thought after killing the big boss was “that’s it?”. Also, wasn’t it plague bombed? I thought that was the main reason no one could go back. A bit confusing all around tbh.

On a side note, wow, the transmog gear set you get for doing that looks way better than the Worgen’s heritage armor. However there is a problem with it. The white ruffles on the shirt are painted on your characters body at the bottom so it dips in at the crotch and looks like a onsie over the pants. I guess it’s too much to ask that they fix that eh?

One of the Vulpera /silly jokes is about getting revenge on Gilneas “for all those fox hunts,” so I am guessing that’s related to the reference for the mount.

Very, if it’s not elf/human/orc related it tends to be trash.

It wasn’t half as disappointing as the Undead Heritage Chain so the whining seems unwarranted.

It was just a quick quest chain to justify putting a criminally underused area back into the game as an RP hangout area. This is the definition of looking a gift horse in the mouth. Compared to the Undead Heritage chain that came off the back of the Human/orc one and was alongside the much better Night Elf chain(despite the deranged whining the Night elf players did, like with everything else they get) and yet didn’t even have any notable NPCs from before BFA and didn’t do anything new and was just fighting the scarlets
again. Yeah, this whole thread is silly.

I hear dat. Den I ask myself, “Troy,” because I heard dat name once and liked it, “if dey be offerin’ ya the opportunity to do more of da same in Gilneas, would ya go back?” And den Troy say “Heckin’ no.”

I’m a weirdo I liked both the Night Elf and Forsaken Heritage quests. Only thing I hated about the Night Elf one was the slow escort quest. But then I’ve hated Escort Quests since TBC

Same with the Night Elf heritage.

We even already had Gilneas Retaken lore wise but they forgot.

The Devs don’t even pay attention to anything Alliance side anymore unless they are forced.

Forsaken one was inoffensive but completely uninspired. At least the Night Elf one had character development and focus on Maieve.

Really for what happened to the city and area that was too quick. Also, the Scarlet Crusade being there was just tossed in for “reasons”, it made no sense. I wouldn’t have minded it being fairly short if it just made sense. And where were the wild Worgen? There were wild Worgen everywhere. Ugh. I’m sorry but the whole thing felt like an afterthought. I am looking forward to the city being fleshed out, but still.

Just because story content is added, doesn’t mean people will like it. Sure we have nelves and worgen taking the front stage (albeit worgen for like 15mins), but
IDK I guess I’d rather them just not do anything than what they did. I know I shouldn’t expect much storywise, but still. It doesn’t make it sting any less.

Yes!! I felt the same thing! And for there to be NOTHING to do in the city after the quest is wild to me. What is really funny that the doors you interact with during the Worgan questline are still accessible but they lead to a 2x2 room of nothingness. I think that is bizarre. I’m HOPING in War Within the city becomes a real zone but right now, it feels unfinished and destitute.

Very disappointed. If what turned out to be less than an hour questline (watching the cutscenes included), and there is nothing else next week
then it could have been saved for later down the road when more could be done
