Is it just me or does wow classic re-release seem like a failure?

It’s just you.

They didn’t promote it like, at all. Half the people who may be interested probably don’t even know about it. They never gave any indication FRESH would be happening, despite the calls for it. Lots of people just walked away.

They just re-released Era with some changes, which in the end it doesn’t change anything.

Era has a bad QoL, is slow and unbalanced.

Why do you re-release something as the same it way was in 2019? Dual spec and insta email don’t change anything, you just killed Era realms doing this.

Except it’s not a major wow release. What a joke.

From your keyboard to god’s ears…I sure hope it does, a lot of us do.

I was going to say…the servers seem packed to me.

And the OnlyFangs streamer guild is super popular on the Hardcore Realm.

Seems like classic doomposting.

Sad their their wealth, rep, gear mean nothing because no one new can go 'oh wow
I can understand them feeling that way but be honest. Lots of people are enjoying themselves on the Aniv realms. Folk saying otherwise aren’t going to change that.

We wanted classic, Not SOM 3. thats why its failing miserably.

The only real failure in my opinion is the lack of people willing to do long quest chains that end in an elite group boss or, at the very least, said final quest.

I don’t know how long (a week? longer?) I’ve had the quest now because my perception of time has been skewed, playing nothing BUT anniversary Classic on Dreamscythe since it’s been out, but I’m genuinely starting to believe I will need to be level 60 before I get this level 50 quest done to kill the duo summoned dragons in the Badlands.

NO ONE else seems to be on the quest, nor just plain ol’ willing to help just for the sake of helping out. I help out on stuff I have already done or have yet to do rather often. I know I don’t have to and I’m not asking for a medal but it just feels bad that I just don’t really witness it elsewhere on a wider scale. I can only recall maybe 4 times someone offered or just plain DID help without me asking. I am practically begging for help on very specific things that are simply silly on how difficult the circumstances are making them out to be simply by nature of being a group quest and it’s nothing but crickets chirping.

Between the aggravations of bottlenecks in the levelling curve, regardless where you quest in the first 30 or so levels and people rather just dungeon-spamming to level and eff most of the quests outright because it’s easier and efficient to ignore the original intent of Classic that isn’t raiding, quest completionists like myself are left hung out to dry.

I see this response alot. And idk, you’re right there isn’t any need to be in MC week one.

At the same time, my best memory of the classic re-release in 2019 was slowly leveling up, getting to 60, working on my professions and grinding dungeons for the dungeon gear. Farming for my mount.

The truth is MC is easy, and 60s can get it done in mostly greens and blues. That doesn’t change the fact it felt fun to grind dungeon sets even if they weren’t completely relevant. And that grind happened because the raids weren’t open. Now I’ll hit 60 when I do I’ll immediately hop into MC because it will feel completely silly to farm gear that’s so unnecessary.

Anyway, I get that no one needs to do MC week one, but think you’re being a bit obtuse not appreciating that it rushes the content people enjoy the most about Vanilla (I.e. leveling and dungeons).

I just think if they wanted to rush Vanilla, Phase One was the worst one to do so.

The point is that you can still do that, yes it’s not optimal obviously. But you are able to dictate your own journey and the only thing stopping you from doing that is yourself.

The Bots won this self inflicted gun shot wound from Blizz.
I know a couple people that tried to come back but quit after 2 weeks because of this system.

Let the battle for HR’s begin

I’m thinking they should have released the servers with BGs already.

I would say that having half the raiders in MC as 2019 launch did as being a massive indicator of success considering theres only 2 servers per region instead of 20 or w/e it was then.
