I was on layer 18 today pve.
What killed the game are the restrictions theyre putting in new accounts. No reason to play when basically cant already.
Also ppl hate pvp

Considering we’re paying a monthly fee for a 20 year old game, I don’t think you can call it a failure by any standards.

Most players start in the starting zone. Once you get past that zone and into other zones you will be able to level and prepare for tbc era. Also players are not limited to level 25 so they will not be stuck in the barrens.

I am, as are many other people because the content is engaging and the game respects your time, two things classic is not doing well. Many people want to play a game that challenges your skill, not your ability to grind a game like its a job.
If classic increased XP gains or added the boost they could attract normal people who can’t commit to grinding for 50+ hours a week.
Given the unannounced account restrictions placed on new players for those it is a failure. Worse their own stated restrictions don’t contain a full account of actual restrictions imposed in game.
Imagine playing an MMO where you cannot trade with people or make use of their services because you cannot trade them mats or create something from their mats because you cannot trade back the finished goods!
Cannot buy from the auction house
Cannot pay players for services or goods
but far far worse these players cannot even mail items to their own alts
and best yet, Blizzard at no time tells you this restriction prior to your paying for the subscription. a restriction that is nearly a month long.
people should flood the support channels and cost them the stolen subscription fees.

lol This game is 20 years old, if you didn’t know what you were getting into, that’s on you.
All the streamers are playing Hardcore. The “regular” servers will take a hit because people follow the streamers.
Just means more late starts to camp when they try to roll on pvp
I know what classic is, thats why I didn’t play era. If you want a 1:1 recreation go to the era server. This is our chance to improve classic + to make it better, now that we’re 20 years later and know more about what makes a game good.

You’re ignoring the problem. It has outdated and antiquated design. Classic probably has less than 10% of the playerbase that retail has.
People don’t want their time wasted with a brutal grind to max level just to get to a rudimentary and bland end game. We’re trying to improve the game and bring it fresh life. Meanwhile youre just trying to keep it out dated and unapproachable. Go play era servers and stop trying to ruin classic +

With that being the case, you can choose not to play it. You have War Within to play for a super fast, smooth experience glorified dress up & chat simulator.

You’re mad at war within because the game play is too complicated for you. Thats why you’re avoiding improving classic+
Again, if you want to keep your 1 button rotation gameplay that rewards unhealthy grinding rather than skillful gameplay, you can go to era. You don’t have to play classic + if its not for you.

Yes, I’m mad at War Within LOL. I got 2000 Mythic rating first week and raided heroic (did not get kill, sadly guild fell apart)
Classic is a true RPG experience that I and many others prefer and enjoy. I’m sorry (not really) that you want “Classic +”, go play SoD. Until then, I suppose you can continue to cry on the forums and let Classic players poke fun at you.

You just proved my point. You got a mid rating and failed the raid content and retreated back to 1 button game.
Which again, is fine if thats what your level is at, I’m glad theres a game mode for you. But that game mode is era. It makes no sense to have classic + just be a clone of era.
We already have dual spec and other changes. Blizzard will improve the game vastly by adding the boost like everybody wants
