Read everything I just typed in here. I know this isn’t PVE. I watched Mes play and called out the locations of everything in Arathi Basin, and I know the maps. So, next time, Clicky-click on the link and read my comments before making assumptions.
Mes will be on later this evening. I’ll probably watch it for a few. I didn’t sleep much, so watching his stream later will be tough.

That is purely the concern of pve hence I said what I said. You lack of comprehension of that fact.
The ret’s dps is brought down because of using gcds and holypower to also heal sacrificing dmg.
For example as a WW I’m constantly kiting out of the fight and I won’t be doing much dmg causing my dps to drop, but my overall dmg will still be high a lot of the times.

Then why would you bring this up? I told Kennie I used to PVP. I told you, Thebulk, to click on the link and read my comments. I was talking with someone about Mes and his gameplay. I brought up locations of Arathi Basin because I’ve played the map too many times to count. Truthfully, even if I tried calculating it, I would be in the 500+ range.

Not really, you bringing up dps in discussion on why ret shouldn’t be further adjusted in pvp was pointless.

Mes, being a top-tier player, was doing average. With heals, he was able to have some fun. Without heals, he was doing less than. When he was in 3 vs. 3, he was up one time, down another time, and mostly moderate.
I know healing the one hunter he was playing with on 3 vs. 3 had to be annoying…

Dear God, once again dps is about as useful of a metric in pvp as a tampax at an all boys school.
It’s everything. Defensives also matter, but most of it has gone to a burst-and-kill game. It used to be long fights, and the best person won, and now it feels like a “let me hit all my bursting damage abilities and rick-roll you” game. I’ve played since vanilla but quit for a moment. I returned to play it at the end of The Burning Crusade. Stopping playing once I noticed hunters obtained mana. Repicked it back up in Cata. Quit playing halfway due to boredom. I skipped most of Panada and returned after it. I erased my old account due to Shadowlands, and now I’m back once again but with a new account.
Even during these times it was never about dps or even damage done, as I won plenty of fights over the years where my team had lower dmg and healing.
Once again dps is more a pve metric not pvp, damage done is more pvp related but even that isn’t the be alll end all metric in pvp
I know. It was strats as well. I mean, technically, strats are obviously still needed. Once addons became a big thing, PVP became less enjoyable for me. Back then, you had to know the classes. That took real skill. Now, people can just listen to an addon and know what’s going on.
This ret is drunk and lost.

What a name… I think this is just getting to the point where I make valid points, yet I’m trying to be drailed as an idiot because there is no other way to fight a solid case. When someone has hardcore facts, people feel it’s best to get rid of them by insulting them. This is pathetic.
Can you not read? That’s not what I said.
I said you need defensives at the beginning of wings because all of the damage is front loaded when the Ret is dumping cooldowns.
People who still trade more defensives AFTER wake/toll are over just because wings still have 10 seconds left are misplaying and wasting defensives on sustain damage.
Hardcore facts from a bg tho? Are there posts on the rbg forum complaining about Rets too?
