I’ve seen some talent build guides for locks which takes suppression for PVP in wrath, but in TBC, afaik, the hit cap in PVP was really low, like 4 or 5%. Has this changed in Wrath? I don’t want to unnecessarily any talent points on hit for PVP if I don’t have to, and I was unable to locate current information about this.
Pretty sure it’s 5% in Wrath.
5% for physical, 4% for magical.
+whatever talents or racial that might affect your hit such as arcane spells against gnomes, shadow spells against Draeneis, physical attacks against Frost mages with Artic Winds, etc.
-1% if you have a Draenei in your party due to heroic presence
Okay thanks for the clarification. It’s so strange that guides are recommending 3/3 suppression for extra hit in pvp when you will only need 2 or 3 more hit, which everyone will have even with poor gear.
I can’t speak for every Classes talents. However for Prot I have Imp Spell Reflect which reduces chance to be hit by spells by 4%. If I take 2/2.
Eventually I’d like to run some test to be clear on how it functions. Also make sure Hit caps are accurate and I personally air on the side of not being right on Hit cap and above it by some if I can.
add 3% for the “reduces chance to be hit” talent most classes have
5% for physical but some classes have talents that can make you miss more so you want a little more than 5% against those classes. Like 6%-7%. Maybe even up to 8%.
Talents got changed. Mostly every class has a spec that has reduces chance to be hit by %.
