Is grievous causing healers to not want to run Mythic+?

I noticed a staggering difference in the amount of healers queueing for Mythic+ dungeons during grievous week. I can’t blame them at all, I have heard it is the worst affix to heal through. So I am just wondering from the perspective of the healer community, is this affix making some of you not want to run Mythic+ at all? Again, not judging (I wouldn’t heal it), just curious. The other affixes seem to not be as big of an issue, because there are mechanics to avoid them or deal with them for the most part.

Can confirm It is very hard to find healers during grievous weeks. When we do get healers they are often new players/alts that don’t have the gear to handle anything above a 8 or 9. I feel like any aspect that cause a group of players to say screw this not going to run M+ this week is not good for the community. Almost all the other affixes have some type of avoidance mechanic there is no avoiding grievous.

I’d say it’s hard to find anyone to do anything right now. This season has been extremely taxing on healers, moreso then tanks I’d say.

Affix combinations are terrible on top of a huge overall healing requirement increase as a result of healers complaining about not having enough to heal. In typical fashion, the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction.

Grievous is actually fine ever since they changed it to where a heal takes a stack off.

I’d assume that a lot of healers just don’t want to deal with pugging during grievous, and I don’t blame them.

This was a BIG week! Easy heal week.

Just wait for next week when there’s explosives.

Explosives = no healers

Most affixes make healers not want to play. Grevious, bursting, explosive, volcanic (I know you can move out of this one), stuff is all designed to annoy healers lol.

Lets not forget the Raging/Fortified combo!

grievous is easy. the bigger annoyance for me this week is spiteful – it keeps me in combat forever, making it tough to drink. not a big deal on my shaman, much more annoying on my monk.

i don’t think explosives are hard for healers either, just incredibly boring. that’s how i feel anyway. also, welcome to the club!

yeah between the 2 spiteful is way worse.
it really sucks in keys like NO

explosive is braindead easy
it just feels like a minigame that consumes the whole run
doesnt feel like im really running the dungeon as i should, its just whack a mole name plates
pop pop pop
so dumb

i dont mind the “difficult” affixes like grievous or bolstering
i absolutely despise the easy but annoying ones like quaking spiteful explosive

I stopped playing my MW and switched to tank because groups just won’t take MWrs. I’d have way higher ilvl/rating and even have timed keys at that level, but I’d watch as the same groups (1 tank + 3 dps) queue’d over and over again, but wouldn’t take a monk.

They are one of the strongest healers if played right. But community perception and affixes (no soothe means no play on enrage week) means far too often there was nothing I could do.

And I found running my own keys as a healer to be just a complete PITA. On my warrior, I can get a key any time or run my own just as easily.

I like healing more than I like tanking, but there’s no point if I can’t play them.

Can confirm. The few groups that do eventually take me, I make sure to profusely thank at the end of the key, and almost every time they are pleasantly surprised to find that mistweaver is viable. I’ve made numerous friends this season because of this.

I whole heartedly agree- I am a healer and dps, I STRICTLY ONLY run dps during the week of grevious. It’s not only a party killer, ita loses people their keys more often than not because of Alts being gear quickly by the reach being opened and not known WTH they are doing.
I’m Very upset by this new trend, almost enough for me to not want to play anymore.
I’ve worked hard towards being the best I can to pull my own weight in dungeons, not carry others that don’t work for it because of quickly gearing and grevious only makes things worse for healers.

PLEASE FIX ASAP. :rage:

I can confirm this as well, I WILL NOT take a monk healer unless their iLVL is higher than 410. They aren’t worth it unless fixed!

I actually am one of those who enjoy Grievous, and always look forward to that week coming around. I hope they don’t change it beyond maybe not pairing it with Tyrannical any more.

I don’t mind grievous. I mind explosive. You 100% will not see me next week playing a healer in keys.

Explosive could be deleted forever; especially explosive/raging combo.

It’s less about grievous itself, rather than dps face tanking spiteful adds, constantly getting slapped and getting 4 stacks of grievous on them.

it was honestly quite an easy week aside from spiteful making me wanna punch my screen sometimes :upside_down_face:

This has got to be one of the easiest fort weeks except for places like ruby life pools and maybe temple.

Grievous reveals all the healers who are healing mostly because they want to get into groups easier. Most of the time healing isn’t very hard unless your group screws up and then you can blame it on the bad DPS not interrupting and go find another group quickly. Grievous makes healing take some effort.
