Never understood why locks went crazy for this. Does nothing for Aff / Demo and for Destro all it really does is blend all your spells together. No variety. Everything green.
I prefer default where you have green and red mixed together.

this is not trueā¦ Any spell that has a fire art animation component to it, turns green. This includes your fire speed affect, and parts of Demon Bolt.
quest starts by grabbing the codex from a rare mob on the throne of thunder if they havent changed it and the quest is still available
I did it with my main early this year (2023). But weirdly I could swear it was not BOP, because I got The Codex from my guildmaster, sent by mail. And maybe Iām wrong but I think they used to be sold at the AH before. Correct me if Iām wrong.

That invisible maze though. I got stuck there and ended up retiring then eventually deleting the character. I hope I was just doing it wrong, otherwise that definitely the most difficult thing Iāve ever attempted in this game.

you hve to move slowā¦use your eye of kilrog or whatever its called.
move it to a safe spot, turn it of, move your characterā¦

repeat thru the maze
kill the spirits that are in range before they come at you

You had to use the āeyeā spell and then remember where the traps where for a few yards and retry again until way out.

I just got it on a new draenei lock. If you want the challenge, donāt level up to 61+ before getting it.
Yes it is but it takes killing Alot of Thunder isles rares to get it to drop or so i was told ā¦its why I made a warlock on a dead server just havenāt got around to lving it yet
Ya man and itās easy as heck now. Just buy a Sealed Tome of the Lost Legion on the AH or go to Isle of Thunder if you wanna farm for it, combine it with a healthstone and ur good to go.
Yup, whenever Blizzard implements a class specific quest chain (such as the Green Fire Quest chain), they like to implement non-combat centric mechanics like using the Eye of Kilrog spell to see the invisible walls to the maze. And also, desummon your demon when running through the maze because even if your demon touches the wall itāll punish you.
I wish I finished the Green Fire quest during MoP (obviously not this character), but I was not good enough to beat Ebonlocke when the content was current. I could have gotten myself a neat title.

I didnāt want to answer to Galedronās year old comment, but: Back in MoP and I wanna say pretty much until BfA or maybe Legion? all three specs had some sort of cosmetic use for the green fire, not just Burning Rush. I forget whether the green fire also changed the fire-walking effect from the lock mount glyph from back in the day? in any case, nowadays itās definitely a Destro thing.
