I’m seeing posts about them nerfing tribute runs. Is this only for the lasher farm or is it all nerfed now?

It is very difficult right now. If you played private, it is exceedingly challenging. King moves near 150% movement speed, so kiting is hard. He will also charge you regardless of LoS, and even if you are the sole person on the threat table. Looks like the best bet is the west wall pet kite. Have yet to kill him this way, maybe an hour into trying.
It’s doable but very tricky.
Things to take into consideration is the cost of stuff required getting to him.
Repair bills.
And overall time.
If you can’t master it then you’ll just end up wasting your time in terms of g/hr

I am flying there now… what makes it tricky exactly? Any tips/advice would be much appreciated!
I just ran a Tribute run with a group… aggro range seemed huge. After we finished tried a solo one. Couldnt even sneak past that first pack without pulling. Even seemed to act weird when I sent pet in and run past and to try and fd hop my way through the dungeon.
I would love to see a video of someone doing this. Pretty disappointed they seemed to have severely nerfed this.,…
This is the first time I have ever seen righteous buffs to a dungeon encounter called a nerf. IMHO, suck it up and play group content as a group.

There’s a guy steaming it on twitch now, go watch him.
He can do it but he’s trying to master it and make it worth while. Poor guy probably isn’t even breaking even with all the repairs and consumables spent.
Mind me asking the guys name, I looking under the “world of warcraft” tab on Twitch and dont seem to see it. The “filter by” search turns up nothing for “dire maul” or “tribute”. Thanks for the info!
@ Brokenwind, this was something that was easily done during vanilla. I am just trying to get info on other peoples experiences and information on this topic. Not sure how else to respond to your comment, sorry.

Regardless, a buff to content is the opposite of a nerf.
It’s a Nerf to the authenticity of Classic. If anything was even changed…

Well I meant it more as it’s a nerf to hunters. But yes you are correct that they did indeed “buff” the dungeon almost certainly to stop this method of gold farming.
This is true, but isn’t this all in line with 1.12 data? This isn’t a private server.
Real talk though. Did anyone actually play a hunter back in vanilla and actually successfully farm this solo? Or are people just going off of what can be done on private servers?

I did it in Vanilla but my hunter was geared at the time, at least tier 2

That’s my thoughts as well Akusidan, so much of Classic perception is distorted through a) perception of which patch the content release is based on
B) perception of what was perceived to be original but was actually a modification on private servers.
