Is DF leveling going feel horrible again: power loss

Difference is with DF we won’t have the secondary power progressions we had with Legion through SL with the borrowed passive talent tree systems.

It will be more like the normal loss we got when gearing up . I’m thinking it is going to be more of the older start off weaker then get stronger with gear as we level like we did in WoD on back .

Just stop… I have seen so many “If you don’t like it don’t play” responses. This is a game we purchase, and then pay to play. If something is poorly designed, or isn’t working well, we as customers have EVERY right to be upset, voice our opinions or both.

We don’t WANT to play another game, we want them to fix a game that they have already taken our money for, that is our right as a consumer. So just stop.

Were going on xpac #9, you should know what to expect by now.

Exactly this.

In TBC classic for example even though every level from 60 to 70 you lost hit and crit %, it wasn’t as noticeable because your character level vs the mob levels used to mean something.

Level scaling takes this all away. It’s the downside to the freedom of leveling anywhere. It all feels the same and you are always losing power every level relative to the same exact mobs unless you’re constantly re-gearing.

Yep, Blizzard should just let me have 80% haste once I hit 70 and let me AFK in the hub for the whole expansion. I mean I’m just paying for that sweet leveling questing.

They can’t just give us 30-50% of each secondary every 2 years.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to quote replies on mobile, so pardon the empty replies you see.

What I originally wanted to say was that leveling in TBC, Wrath and even Cata never had this loss of power problem.

I don’t even want to play if this is how it is going to be. We should gain natural base power while we level not become worse because of bad scaling tech that requires you to then gear up.

None of your examples were scaled and had fixed leveling zones with set level ranges. Meaning you had to level in specific zones before moving to the next.

Like I have pointed out in my other posts, level scaling is the price we pay for the freedom to level in any x-pack zones as we see fit.

We are either stuck with linear leveling or power loss through scaling…or in the case of SLs, both

Then Blizzard should scrap scaling for new expansions entirely and use it only for legacy zones. But I have no idea how convoluted that process would be.

I highly doubt they would do that…

We would essentially be stuck with the initial shadow lands leveling experience for the entirety of the x-pack…and we all know that was very unpopular.

It seems that players do not like being forced into a linear leveling system and prefer to be able to choose what zones they level in

As someone on alpha - you’re going to feel incredibly weak. Especially while leveling.

Pretty much every single ability is a talent now apart from a few baseline abilities.

Which is morbidly funny.

DH’s are the memed 3 button class. so it should not be that hard, in theory. Hell we got 2 specs too. Its not like the 3/4 ones.

and we have complicated pve and pvp. so…you’d think they want us tested longer and should have been out first.

With us last potentially and least tested…I predict knee jerk changes after 10 is live. or…we get a very nice run of imba that generates rants on gd for weeks.

If apple ios highlight text and it should have the blizzard website pop up to quote near the usual apple ios of copy, etc.

Not sure if android the same…never used it.

I understand you are mocking me by pretending I said something I neither said nor intended to mean, quite obviously. Does it make you feel super-kewl to lie like that, or can’t you help yourself?

Leveling is going to be dramatically reduced in time again. Why do you want to starve levelers of gear? Why are you twisting what I said to make it all about you, your delusions, and max level characters?

It’s what makes WoW unique from other MMOs!

That’s fine and I have no problem with that. But what I keep hearing is people saying it’s hopeless, that the devs either don’t care or are not capable of fixing things, that WOW is in a death spiral.

That’s a lot different than saying there’s a problem we would like you to fix which implies that you believe the devs care and are capable of fixing it.

I remember when I got a slightly better reincarnation perk.

“Congrats shaman, you are designed to die”

My dude you are a legend!

It’s not the player getting weaker. It’s their gear going out of date. More levels just mean you need more stats to have optimal throughput.
