I’ve not seen a single Devastation Evoker in PvP ranging from 0-2200 MMR since Aug was added to game.

Seems Augmentation has basically replaced it? which is kind of sad since I thought Devastation by itself was a really cool spec.
Pretty much. I find it hard to play devestation at a competative level when aug just does everything better. Not to mention it has like 2x the utility to.
Devestation isn’t bringing anything unique that the other evoker specs already bring. So they’re just doing damage and thats not enough.
To be honest, no one wants Preservation either, I had to switch to Augmentation, as a Healer I got to around 2820 io, but no one wants Preservation either, it’s Augmentation or nothing.
I love Augmentation, but cause they pretty much bring what Devastation and Preservation brings there’s no need for the other specs.
When you have one spec that’s meta, even if your other two specs are still great, that might as well just be the only spec you have.
They should have made a tank spec. I still stand by that.

When your real damage spec is outclassed by every other spec in the game for having better defensives and being a nuance-matters disaster while the new spec is covering what people have complained about for two-three patches now while being tuned like a DPS in pvp?
It’s pretty much a wash. Granted you MIGHT run into some here and there in the higher brackets and they’re good at what they do.
Feels like it. Idk what happened but suddenly i can’t do damage on devastation, and people are self-absorbed pieces of garbage in pug groups who love seeing themselves do more damage via buffs, so if you don’t play Aug people kick you or treat you awfully. So yea, I guess the devs hate devastation even more now. We were ignored in favor of preservation before, and now we’ll be ignored for aug. Life
they nerfed into the ground the mastery by 20 % in the last 2 patch because they did think they did do to much damage so that why you doing less. Now the spec need some buff in damage and more in survivability
its one of the lowest represented specs alongside outlaw rogue and frost dk
yeah its pretty crap tbh
Dev got that nerf recently, but its still usable. I mostly use it when I can’t trust the other damage in my groups or if the damage profile is needed. I am having a lot more fun with aug then dev though, dev wasn’t in the best state to begin with and still could use some work on its talents and damage profile.

I like devastation, but augmentation is completely overshadowing the other dps spec. Even the animations and the fancy golden resource bar makes augmentation more interesting. Please make devestation just as cool.
Agreed! Augmentation just feels like an improved Devastation. I’d much rather see Augmentation become a lava spewing, claw slashing, hulking tank, and Devastation turned into an extremely mobile swoop in and out, fly around class.
They just buffed us so much that we went from second to last in mythic raid to middle of the pack overall… What?
It’s a shame that augmentation is dead in pvp now, it’s the worst dps in the game with frost DK, and preservation is the worst healer in pvp with holy priest. At least Devastation is at least A tier, since they like to buff disintegrate damage every patch instead of giving us survivability like we’ve been asking for.

I think Dev is “fine” in pvp I would trade 50% of the dmg I deal in games for some tankiness but I mean it’s definitely playable to the high tiers of this game in both 2s 3s and soloq 100% lol
Only talking about pvp, Augmentation is considered the best dps in pve, love how drastic it is from one game mode to the other.
