Is classic actually classic?

Wrong, so WRONG… it was hard because… an equal level mob could actually damage you. 2 mobs would really damage you, 3 mobs would kill you. Unlike retail where i can round up 6-8 mobs and come out unscathed.

You’re arguing with a proverbial pig in the mud. This guy has no clue how armor or defense works.

I am the pig or they are the pig? The verbiage makes your meaning unclear.

That is absolutely true, and one of the difficulties that they had in the Classic video.

The hunters were taking advantage of a bug that significantly reduced their miss chances. Otherwise, in the long term they might not have been able to pull the strategy off.

P.S. Sorry for double posting. I should have just edited this onto the first post.

They are the pig. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

You wanna hug it out my dude?

Nah for sure, I can’t argue that it would change something. Butterfly effect and all that, but exactly what, will remain a mystery. For now, we’ll rifle through bodies like angry racoons!

Calling someone names doesn’t help you make your point, it instead makes people take you less seriously. Also, telling someone to go back to public school when you seem to be incapable of having a mature discussion as proved by your juvenile insults is rather hypocritical.

The way I put that change just before BC came out and I was describing the beta to the guild in actual vanilla is that players had become elites.

What I meant is that mana and health pools increased quite a bit. You had a lot more relative health, and the value of stamina on gear was cut (so there was much more of it on a given item).

Small lapses tend to turn into larger issues with greater frequency in classic wow, as when things start going wrong they lead to deaths, and there are fewer recovery abilities available.

Also, resource recovery and management is a big deal. You need to watch that mana bar and plan a bit.

Oh LOOK! People are abusing layering and destroying the economy like I said would happen. I expect an apology in essay format.

Patch 1.12 devastated early-mid content.

Everyone is 30% stronger, mobs and bosses are easier and there is a lot more Quality of Life.

Mages get 10% crit for free from one of the patches… Winter’s Chill.

Some mechanics, important ones, are based on level.

gear is everything in wow. A 30 BiS warrior is probably stronger than a quest geared 40.

Retail is mechanically much more difficult than Vanilla. Much more.

The only reason anyone would ever be mistaken to think raid and dungeon mechanics were harder in vanilla is because of the gear catch up mechanics they put into retail.

Most of you clearing raids these days when you couldnt in BC is because you are given the keys to “cheat” the mechanics by grabbing gear from doing quests and dungeons that reward better gear than previous raid tier.

75% of the players with AoTC could not do it without the gear crutch retail put in the game starting in WotLK.

It’s because we have 1.12 itemization when this is supposed to be phase 1 gear.

Everything is hilariously easy

Unless you misjudge how close you are to the edge while doing that 1k quest for 3 documents.

Can’t outgear that fall.

But more seriously… you can’t twink out things like spellhit at level 30. Is the boss easier? He is easier than he was in some patches I think.

I could see using a lvl 30 mage for dps, but a 30 tank? The boss should be resisting everything and doing more damage.

Accurate to 1.22? Probably. But still watered down for many of us.

I agree with this, was doing the DarkIron elite quest yesterday, Me - 29 Paladin, Level 30 warrior and 3 other sub level 28 dps. When we got to the level 34 elite boss, after 2 solid deaths and 1 3/4 group death we downed him (after the fight, leader looked at logs) the whole time we fought him only myself and the warrior was showing any hits. the sub 28’s were missing swings and all the castes casts were resisted.

Remember when mobs took a long time to kill and we had to sit and med for 5 minutes after each fight? Remember when if you died in a dungeon you had to run all the way back to your corpse naked even if it was across the world and you lost hours worth of xp? Remember when most classes couldn’t even kill regular mobs 2-4 level below the without a group? Remember when there were almost no quests so we were forced to grind every level? Remember when raids consisted of 60+ people and we still got rekt by bosses? Remember when most people didn’t even make it to max level because the grind was too intense? Me neither, wow has never been and never will be hard, It’s still fun though.

It was always braindead dude. They used to call WoW “Baby’s first MMO.”
