The combat values on classic are not like they were in vanilla because the videos show extremely easy gameplay while I played vanilla in 2004-06 and can without a doubt say the classic beta videos look easy mode.

Since it’s Blizzard’s reference client versus your 14 year old memories, I’m going to side with Blizzard being right.
