the fix for Bots in PvP is simple… remove the ability to buy epic gems with honor… problem solved… but blizzard is too stupid to do that.

Kind of a silly question, no? ofc there will be bots, it’s bound to happen.
Bots will never go. Bots equal subscriptions.
Of course cata will be infested with them. Every other version of this game released has been.

Yeah these Pservers were also the r ones who would sell items at a cost behind players backs. They aren’t exactly the pillar of morality

nah, pservers are far worse when it comes to RMT.
Only naive fools think that pserver is some sort of competitor to Blizzard.

Its WoW and Blizzard. They “dont want to tip their hat” to how they detect bots so they let them run wild for 6 months before a ban wave. Then the next set of accounts with the updated bot gets to run wild until the next ban wave. This is the history of the anti-bot war in this game and it probably isn’t going to change. Its been repeating for like, almost a quarter of a life time at this point.
If it is WoW, if the anti-bot systems are ran by Blizzard, bots will run a muck. Guaranteed. Just as it was in the first release to modern retail. Then in the re-release of classic to WOTLK now. Just as it will be in the next retail expansion and the next classic expansion. Or any of version of the game that comes along. SOD is the newest proof of the cycle continuing.
It is less of a problem in retail now because they kind of clipped out the reason to bot. Just buy a boost, materials rain in all directions, can just buy gold with the coin, the value of coin is diminished by gear and professions kind of just happening if you just play the game. So really the most effective tool they have come up with against them is to surrender to it and join/profit what the bots provided to begin with.

Oh cool, so this is a nothing question, all MMO’s have bots. Most of those companies are constantly fighting an unwinnable battle against those bots.
Yes, there will be bots in cata. Just like in era, just like in vanilla, just like in TBC/TBCC, just like new world, just like tera, etc.
Banwaves are more efficient than spot banning, they tend to capture more botters/etc this way. Anyone asking Blizzard to reveal and explain their process to deal with bots is asking for bots to have an easier time, harmless ask or not.
Most importantly remember to report suspected bots, they do a large amount of their investigations and actions against bots based on player reports and their own anti-bot programs.
Tip their hat about bot detection? 
The bots are literally fly hacking out in the open world. They hack through the ground gathering herbs and nodes for all to see. They run extremely obvious scripts where they repeat the same loop pattern 24/7 killing the infinite npcs that spawn thanks to dynamic spawning. They run very obvious scripts in battlegrounds where a train of them follow one another in a line.
The bots are not a mystery. They’re not hidden away. They’re there for all to see. They’re blatantly obvious. They don’t even try to hide it anymore. Why would they? Because once every few months they might have to start over? Boost and bam right back to farming. The investment is nothing to them.
If Bliz really wanted to eradicate bots, then they could. Put actual GMs in the game. Ban them in real time. Throw up a server message when they do. That’ll actually mean something to the players. Not some ridiculous monthly Blue forum post that says they banned 100k while players see the same bots still in the game.

Right but the reason I put it in these " " is because thats the line we are sold but its mostly a line of bull from what I and anyone with a brain can see.
every time a expansion is popular bots are going to be ever-present. so yes cata will probably have bots.
The thing that kills this game is how toxic the community is towards new players plus the whole “Raids been out for 15 years” mindset. The fact that most player would leave a dungeon vs helping a new player understand the mechanics. Nine times out of ten theyll just call em trash til they vote to kick or leave. Yes you can join a guild to raid but why make a commitment to a raid schedule when some weeks you dont feel like it. If your not in a raiding guild good luck getting into a raid. The leveling in classic is great but the endgame is where the community shows how toxic it really is. WoW is probably the most toxic game towards new players

Hmm TBH in my opinion I could be wrong but with SOD out I think people are more likely to almost ignore cata. It was a okay experience leveling I did however like the story line in hyjal. Def hit the heart strings a bit on some quest lol but I do (think) with SOD cata won’t see as many players. I assume the beginning it may peak but yeah i think it’s going to have a unreal bot issue. I’m not sure or not but I think we get mog ability in cata? Correct me if I’m wrong but bots/gold dealers will be getting rare items to sell on the auction house so i foresee that being a issue big time.
