I see no discussion in the patch notes about same faction battlegrounds coming back with the patch. Is this intentional? How long do we have to wait for a permanent fix?

Because it is not needed and will make faction balance worse. Part of hordes need to reroll, especially those who bought 58 boost and rerolled horde When TBC starts.

No horde player in an established guild that has SSC / Tempest Keep on farm is going to want to re-roll alliance.

Why would it make faction balance worse?? Aren’t they giving Alliance free materials (gold) for queueing BGs?? I think that’s probably largely responsible for the decreased queue times now that HvH is gone, assuming they didn’t remove the quest.
Maybe HvH is not the ideal solution, there are better ones, harder to implement. The quest is part of that… but it is a ridiculous and totally consumer-unfriendly thing to say that it’s OK for the game to be broken because the customers just need to go and fix the problem on their own. That might be fine by the way if you’re talking rock-paper scissors issues like arena comp-balance, but not when it comes to matters of literally just not being able to have ready access to a core game feature like battlegrounds at a rate 25x higher or whatever to your opponents.
2021 folks just don’t want to sit in a 25 minute queue, and it creates balance issues in terms of PvP gearing rates for rated arenas.

What evidence do you have that the queue will fix itself…??? Have you played this game before???
People will do stuff for very little incentive, if it means they’re getting more than the other guy, don’t underestimate that… but sure they could buff the chest then.

They’re probably not coming back and they’re making one time horde to alliance faction changes, most likely.
For once blizzard might hopefully let their massive horde bias go and do something healthy for faction balance and participation.

They did remove it, and queue times are currently 25 minutes or more
Nothing is broken, when a ride is popular their is gonna be a line. If you want the fast pass buy an Alliance 58 boost.

No, Blizzard needs to step up and do something about faction imbalance. Get their minds out of transfer profits and put faction queues on servers.
Grobbulus has been 60% Alliance since Classic. I rerolled in AQ because we needed more Horde. We’re now at 38% Horde.

I don’t care who I fight as long as I can get the honor for gear at a reasonable pace. You can keep faction only battlegrounds for RP servers if that matters that much to you.

If blizzard wants to fix their problem they need to offer free faction xfer.

Horde queue more than Alliance because overall there are more PvP players on Horde side, doesn’t matter which server you’re on if you’re still part of the majority.
More PvP players need to go Alliance to help with queue problems and faction balance.
The only non authentic solution would be to allow H>A one way transfers.
