Yesterday a warlock stood on a deactivated EoTS node while explaining to the team what his rating was in 3s.

Its not, people are not as good as they think/they cant impact the game in a meaningful way.
Ofcourse some maatches are lost when the gates open but overall is a different beast than arena and should be treated differently as some skills dont translate the same to bg gameplay.

Blitz is a joke. Most people treat it as a random BG and just do what they would normally do in a random BG… I.E go to mid and mash some buttons.
in the placement games it really feels like RNG. You either get 7 people who expect everyone else to do the obj, or you get a few people willing to play the maps.
It’s really hard to carry in a bliz game for most classes/specs. You cant be everywhere all the time. You can’t kill orbs and carry an orb, same with FC maps… also can’t be at every base. So you just focus on being the best teammate you can be and try not to take it too seriously. Tbh, if I took that mode seriously, I’d probably pull all my hair out.
I haven’t actually played a lot of BGB, though… I got the set on this guy doing them… so maybe 60 ish games? I missed the first 3 weeks of the season so I didn’t get the free rating… well, it was still free, but not as free.
Depends what you mean by joke. If you take it seriously and then are upset by the way things turn out then yeah it is a joke. If you play it the only expectation should be is fun. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try tho.

I don’t really care if it’s a joke or not, it’s been far more fun than playing M+ has this past season and actually gets me to play the game
I do think a pure solo q/dps & healer duo queue mode that has 8 players per team is gonna be up to random chance more often than not though.

Do you know why this is a joke? Because in one game we win because I do an epic performance and someone whispers to me “Amazing what you did bro, I love you” and in the next game when we lose to a team with a huge rating difference with Duo Queue, a caveman comes and whispers to me “Cut off your arms and uninstall.”

continue to stuck at low ratings even tho I do 200M+ top dps every game, hunter that doesn’t even cap LH, we won WW, hunter didnt cap and left, our rogue then left 2, 100% throw. Next game, we had BS and FARM, almost capping LM, calling in chat, team refuse to come, they went mine instead, anther throw. Eye map, afk healer, 2nd healer carrying flag and ran into their entire team solo, they got both bases cuz we have afk healer, another throw. over and over and over

I think more people need to watch Dragon Ball Z and observe Goku and the way he handles his fights. Peoples perception and outlook on life would improve dramatically.

Its pretty bad when im playing 2700 mmr teams at 18-3(1600 rating) and only going up 18pts per win

I think wow would do good to have a commend system like there is reports
With the amount of commends you get you could win better rewards, might create some “commend beggars”, but at least would condition player to not play like monkeys for the lulz
Cause some bgs people join either with the doomer mentality or genuinely just want to fool around, when a normal BG would do the trick, but the “rated” term, give then some sort of “playing the game right” i think.
Having a better MMR system like League or dota might help too, the “mmv” is making some BIG discrepancies between teams and in the same team.
Win and loss streak can make more harm than good, if you win like 3 in a row, you get to play with 2100 or 2200 people, being 1600, cause you got 600MMV, but if you lose 3 in a row or more, you character might not leave mmr hell winning nothing and losing 12-17
no the general player base is
