Is BFA worth playing while I wait for classic?

I know in the past that you would sometimes be given 10 free days to try out an expansion if you don’t own it. You should check your account and email to see if you have this. If you do, it would be worth trying in my opinion. People like different things, you may end up enjoying it.

I personally don’t think it would be worth buying if you don’t have that free trial to try. BfA is ok from what I have played, but something about it that I haven’t been able to put my finger on just isn’t enjoyable and I just can’t bring myself to play it for any length of time at all. I bought it when it released and this character is still only 114. This was my main in Legion and really enjoyed Legion quite a bit. I have a troll warlock at 119 now. Those are my two highest characters. I believe this is the least I have actually enjoyed an expansion. Typically I get bored once going through the storylines and hitting level cap. But with BfA, I can’t even seem to make it to level cap. The interest just isn’t there and I have tried and wanted to like it.

The graphics and zones are pretty amazing, and music as usual. There are some fun characters that you encounter like Jani, Bwomsondi and Flynn for example. Some of the storylines are interesting and fun. With all that said, it’s the gameplay itself that seems to fall so short to keep me engaged.

So to sum it up, if you have that 7 or 10 day free trial, give it a shot for sure. If not, I wouldn’t spend $60 on it personally. If I could go back in time I would have spent that money somewhere else. :stuck_out_tongue:

Because people don’t give them objective feedback when they ask whether or not it’s worth coming back for. 8.2 is a “good” patch and if you were only to come back for a month, then it’s “worth” it.

Not worth it. Play noob characters in the Classic zones so you enjoy the real zones more later.

Get the gold buy a token. Thats about all it is worth…

It really depends on what kind of player you are. I had a meh time in Nazjatar and Mechagon but Operation: Mechagon is probably the single best dungeon experience I’ve had in years. It’s long, somewhat difficult and feels rewarding to finish; some of the fights in there are like raid bosses.

The expansion also really, REALLY looks good for WoW. I hope they eventually revamp the entire game to look this good:

Love the skyboxes now:

I second this. If you want to wpvp, then there is plenty of it, especially right now. It does not take long to get decent enough gear to kill some people if you know how to play. Be warned, if you play Alliance you will almost always be outnumbered. That may not be a bad thing. I prefer a target-rich environment :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I mean, if you can get some enjoyment out of it, why not? I personally can’t. I tried getting into it on a super casual level a few weeks ago and I lasted about a week or 2. Then I just got mad and left again. Retail is ruined :stuck_out_tongue:

thatd be a major noooope

No. There are plenty of good PC games out there. Maybe try Mount & Blade Warband.

It’s not worth it, sometimes the thought enters my mind but so much is wrong with it that it’s best to wait at this point.

  • Warmode killed WPvP
  • Scaling is just as bad as templates
  • Azerite gear lul
  • Still no PvP vendors
  • Still to much RNG gearing, forced daily grinding that isn’t fun

If I had to log in I would go and hang out in my Garrison and do WoD content and just farm gold. It’s better than doing anything BFA. Then at least you could pay for your Sub but is that worth it? Think I would just stay unsubbed. I would make a twink but… oh wait they killed the only fun in BFA by removing Twinks. Hope BFA just drys up and dies already! It’s not even WoW.

There is literally nothing fun to do in BFA.

I’d recommend getting punched in the nuts over playing retail. Save some money.

Pretty much all you’re going to hear on these forums is how bad it is. I personally like it quite a bit. Not as much as TBC, Wrath, MOP, or Legion but far better than Cata or WoD. Allied races, interesting new zones and some of the best storytelling i have ever seen from Blizzard, particularly through the Alliance zones (as a mostly Horde player, that makes me cringe to admit). The dungeons are mostly very fun though not quite as much as in Legion.

No. Better games are everywhere.

If levelling from 110 to 120 tickles ur curlies, go for it. We are all just killing time. I cant feakin wait.

I’m subbed, but I didn’t buy BfA. The slogs before it were enough for me to get bored with this new style of “content.” I leveled a few toons to 110, do some pvp, run old raids, farm/sell, etc.

Looking forward to the upcoming stress test, although after the last one, I barely wanted to log back into retail. Come on, August.

OK, I’m definitely curious about this one… How does being flagged for PvP while everyone around you is also flagged for PvP kill WPvP?

Gave it to someone else.

i have to admit BFA is the best for like maps and stuff and i actually like the quests i dont like pvp (because blizzard ruined classes + a lot of players are bad and just to easy to beat ) and dungeons/raids i hate because you enter and walk out 5 minutes later :expressionless:
