Is BFA worth playing while I wait for classic?

Unfortunately neither of us can prove our points can we? Since the only evidence we have to go on is twitch viewership and YouTube …

Is the population of players still playing retail happy with the changes? Sure… that would make sense considering they are playing the game… what about the much larger population of players that no longer play the game or play it while hating it? Just because blizzard makes more money off their cash shop than they did with higher player counts doesn’t mean the gameplay is better or improving. I’d say people quitting your game is indicative of it getting worse.

I have pathfinder and im not shilling. I enjoy the content and having a reason to log on outside of raid.

2 weeks out of 6 months is a majority?

I can udnerstand having a different oppinion to someone, Calling someone a shill just because they disagree with you is just a alexensual copout.

Hahahahahahaha spending 6 months in naz’jatar? That sounds worse than solitary confinement.

And that’s good that you enjoy the content, I still enjoy running old raids. Unfortunately the majority of people don’t enjoy the content considering they’ve quit the game.

How about this:

Instead of asking other people if something is “worth it” (which is an invalid question because “it” is rarely defined), play it and make your own decision.

That would require him to buy it… that’s why he’s asking if it’s worth it

This! Spending $60 to spend two or three days to get to 120, then it’s the same old garbage as the previous couple expansions.

I won’t buy it. My vote is no.

I get it, you think Classic WoW is/will be better, as do I and most to all people on this forum from what I’ve seen. That does not mean the million+ people with active subs agree with you. It’s all subjective.

And in the context of what I had originally responded to, to think that you’re going to see more people playing classic than retail is indeed naive. The game as a whole is dying simply because it’s old and nothing they add is new. It’s all missions, rep grinds, raids, WQs, a lootfest, same ol’ PvP modes but calling it something different, etc.

But that doesn’t negate the fact that over a million people are still actively subbed and it still jumps by millions every expansion / major patch before stagnating. In other words, people still like the game and are interested. There are a plethora of reasons people quit MMOs, not just because of game design and content.

In the end it’s a matter of opinion, but you will not see classic eclipse retail.

Edit: Although it would be cool if it did, Blizz would realize finally that it’s time to move on to WoW2: A real MMO

I guess we will see then!

The OP wasn’t asking the “million+” people with active subs if it was worth it.

Well good thing I wasn’t responding to the OP then!

If you enjoy healing, BFA is amazing for that, in my opinion. I hate healing in Classic (it’s all I did in Vanilla because I got tired of respeccing to shadow – never again), and healing in BFA is very challenging and fun at the upper levels of play.

Each healer feels different than the next, with strengths and weaknesses (except for druids who are once again gods), and it’s fast-paced and intense in mythic+ and rated pvp play.

If you also enjoy DPS that does PVE with more than one button, retail is for you. Classic has a lot going for it. In-depth, fun or even any rotation at all is not in Classic for most classes.

You mean speaking for those in retail? Yes, you were.

/Sigh. It’s not rocket science.

The comment you originally responded to was for someone else and the comment you now just pointed to was in response to the OP. Two different conversations. There’s no need to troll.

There’s no need to shill.

I’m not, it’s a forum and I’m allowed to disagree with the OP. If you don’t like it, that’s too bad. But trying to call me out and failing miserably looks worse on you.

You think I’m trying to impress anyone on the forums?

And, incidentally, your first post in this thread, calling Classic supporters naive, speaking for retail and how people still love it, referring to WoW2 as a “real MMO”, calling out people who dislike retail?

Walks like a :duck: , etc…

For only a month then you’re permanently playing Classic, no, it’s not worth it. You’re going to start on things that you won’t finish. If you’re open to playing BOTH BfA and Classic, then it’s worth it.

Of course you are since you’re now trying to save face.

Ah so in other words you don’t understand basically anything of what I posted. I’m not calling out anyone who dislikes retail and I’ve admitted repeatedly I am going to completely quit retail and want classic more. It is naive to think classic is going to eclipse retail. There’s no two ways around it. What’s the basis for that? The 2000 pop private servers? The 730,000 accounts on Nostalrius, only 130k of which were active? The few thousand people that are posting on these forums and their alts to make the pop look bigger?

All I said is maybe Blizz will realize it’s time for WoW 2. A real MMO and not what retail has devolved into.

And I don’t speak for anyone other than myself. If people agree or disagree or whatever, so be it, I was just saying what I’d seen.

Sounds like you’ve got a comprehension issue and that’s not my problem.
