Is BFA worth playing while I wait for classic?

I figured since classic is so close, I would play current wow to kill some time… but I’m hearing a lot of bad things about BFA. I have every expansion except BFA and I have a 110 just sitting there.

Is BFA worth it if I’m just planning on leveling from 110-120? Or is it really so bad that I should skip it all together and just wait out for classic?

I’m levelling from 1-60 on 3 Alliance characters and 3 Horde characters (if I have time) so that when I get to Classic I can remember all the things we lost, like the Lodge in Stonetalon Mountains.

I wouldn’t consider the BfA part to be exciting unless you’re Horde and a Lore Nerd.

Not in my experience.

To put it simply, in 6 weeks time, people will forget that Battle for Azeroth ever existed.

So No, don’t waste your time with world quests and this garbage game design.

If you absolutely have to play I would recommend doing old raids for transmog or mounts… the new content is just going to piss you off

If you like story and lore and beautiful visuals then yea, go for it.

Just because you play it does not mean you are a bad person, despite what some around here will try to tell you.

This is severely overstating the niche side project that is Classic. Playing retail from time to time, people are excited about how it’s moving forward and the class changes supposedly coming in 9.0. People also like the design of the game now and how inclusive it is to all level of player, how easy it is to find a group and do the dungeons, the loot grind it’s become (getting epics easily, etc), etc etc etc. Many people like those things, or you wouldn’t see games like Borderlands be exceedingly popular.

I am going to play Classic and quit retail completely when it releases, like most of us on this forum, but to pretend like it’s going to outdo the main game is kinda naive.

I’m going to disagree here.

The new content is quite neat and somewhat varied so if you ahve a toon at cap already then it really can’t hurt too much too dabble.

Plenty to do,Naz’jatar is a very different zone and mechagon has alot of fun stuff to do. + if you’re a pvper theres plenty of world pvp going on.

I tried doing that but I just can’t get into any of the recent expansions. They might be fine, or even enjoyable, but I can’t play the new game for more than a half hour or so. The current game is just too different and unappealing yet retains just enough of the World of Warcraft I remember (I quit mid-Cata) to make me yearn for Classic.

I’ve since moved on to other games, particularly with the beta ending today, to fill the void in the meantime. And just to note, this isn’t an anti-BFA rant. I have no opinion on whether or not it, or the current game at any level, is enjoyable - I’m just not interested.

Don’t let these shills lie to you, take it from someone with pathfinder unlocked…

Mechagon is a “rare” farm grind where you fly around an island that’s 1/2 the size of the timeless island killing “rares”.

Naz’Jatar is a zone that is designed for flight but the majority of your time there is spent on foot. In this zone you will be doing the exact same thing as mechagon (along with puzzles) but it’s way bigger and way harder to get around.

If you didn’t like the Timeless island, Tanaan Jungle, the Broken Shore, or Argus you will absolutely hate this patch. If you did not enjoy WoD or Legion you will absolutely hate this patch.

You will spend the majority of your time frustrated because you are combat locked with no enemies in sight.

Edit - the art is great though, the environment is beautiful, the new weapons looks sick with the Gnomish and Naga themes.

I would say it’s not worth it.

I had an ok time getting from 110-120, hated it after that. Go for it if you just want to check it out.

It’s what he does. Along with “10 million players” claims.

Or complain that there’s no armories.

And if you don’t have your whistle, you’re screwed.

I’m less than 2 days into a free 3 days game time and already bored enough to spend my online time in the classic forum instead of the live game.

I think it’s going to be big, it might be a minority but every day I play retail I run into several people who are talking about classic. Yesterday I had someone approach me in orgrimmar asking me if I was interested in his guild for classic, he asked me purely based on me wearing full shadow craft on my rogue (mog obviously)
