Classic will be the flavor of the month then people will lose interest and it will all balance out. BFA isn’t being talked about because Classic is what’s new and there’s a lot of players who are unhappy with retail.
It was before flying was a thing so apples and oranges indeed.
I remember playing a different game I guess. Some classic quests sent you on wild goose chases.
No. (10chars)
You tell em!
I am gonna quit BFA because of no flying! Cant wait till Classic! Thats how important flying is to me!
If that is how you remember it then you are gonna be disappointed. Classic was notorious for having quests that sent you far and wide.
I doubt it will kill BFA, but I will say it’s odd that they decided to fragment the population into two versions of WoW. But hey…that’s just me. I’m sure people will prob play both in the end.
BFA PVP will just become even more dead
The difference is that it wasn’t every zone every day. Which is exactly what world quests are.
The world’s bigger now. Level cap is higher. Hence flying is more important. Heck, mounts now are at level 20. It was level 40 back in the day.
BfA is dead right now.
LOL do you remember Rhapsody’s Kalimdor Cocktail that started in the Hinterlands? That was a trek.
Or how about the multiple times you needed to run Uldaman to get all the quests in there done?
Classic wasn’t known for instant gratification. There were often multiple steps to quest chains, or unlocking raids, like Kharazan, and some running back and forth. But it worked, or we wouldn’t be here 15 years later. Classic is the game that pulled players in, and kept them.
A 3 pronged one so you can hit 3 vampires huddled close together.

It’s a different type of grind. I hate the grind now, but love the style of Classic. That’s like saying people hate chicken strips so they will hate hamburgers. They are both food you eat, but they are a lot different.
Wrong, classic had 4 million players. WoW surged to 10 million players when BC launched, and kept that number about half way through wrath.
Yep, just as dead as ford would be if someone re-released the model-T. It’s the big secret nobody will admit, if you release an old, inferior version of something it removes the current version from the future, time travel rules. That’s why asbestos and lead paint are coming back too!
You are only proving my point. Classic brought them in and kept them. More came as the game progressed and word got out how fun it was.
Dead game.
If you never played 1-60 in vanilla. You need to do this pilgrimage. Things were not easy and they were not given to you easy.
