Is Beledar a naaru crystal

Well, there are patterns on Beledar’s facets that look like Naaru…

From my understanding, world souls are meant to be the perfect harmony from the energies that emerged from both the chaotic & immense magnitude of vast powers of the light & void colliding  Then after such a spiritual being is birthed, they find a world to rest within and grow in power until they’re born a ‘Titan

Thus,

In the tremendous war of light & void, the greatest of their powers formed the most powerful beings of the cosmos

… So in a sense, you could argue the mysterious Void Lords and the benevolent Prime Naarus are the parents to world souls :yum:

  • :dracthyr_comfy_blue: “How are World Souls formed in the first place?”
  • :dracthyr_comfy_bronze: “Well, when a Light daddy and Void mommy love eachother very, very much …”

Well – You get the picture

The name alone had me believing it was a Naaru vessel. Beledar.

Vindicaar. Exodar. Genedar. Xenedar.

But that was either an intentional red herring, or an oversight by the writers and the Arathi just happen to have a very naaru-like naming convention Mereldar/Beledar.

Then it was revealed to just be Azerite but Big. And I was like “Woah! This is worthless!” And moved on.

Mereldar was an Arathi priest during the Troll Wars who had visions of naaru and stuff. The town is named after her. There is also a lake named after her in the Eastern Plaguelands.

It’s worth noting that while piloted by beings of light, naaru dimension ships seem to be functionally run on arcane magic and engineering, so there may well still be some overlap between titan/Worldsoul/naaru stuff going on with Beledar rather than it just being azerite.

Maybe the naaru created their ships by harvesting and shaping gigantic crystals like it from other planets that had Worldsouls.

Right I’ve always thought draenei are both arcane and light! That makes sense

Per our newest installment of “How the Cosmos ACTUALLY Works” we know all forces in the cosmos are inherently unstable unless they are paired with a secondary force.

Light-Arcane makes good sense for Naaru stuff, really. Seems to be the same thing the Arathi do as well, if not nearly as advanced in scope.

Also isn’t the sacred flame a mix of arcane projection, holy and flame swirled together to form a magical flame?

I know they were arcane-powered in BC but is that still the case? A lot has changed since then and the Xenedar in Legion gave me the impression it was all Light-powered.

I really like the idea of their ships being made from these crystals though.

I’m pretty sure the Xenedar is made from the army of light ( light forged) I think they still have some ships using arkonite ( arcane crystal gems)
