Is Azeroth flat or round?

I know I’m a few days late from Sunday, but I thought this would be a silly discussion to initiate.

Many in-game models and cut-scenes depict a round Azeroth, but in-game traversal seems to reveal a perfectly flat Azeroth. What gives?

I guess we won’t know until Azeroth’s avatar (think Argus) is revealed toward the end of the World Soul Saga, then we’ll know whether she’s “flat” or “round”.

Sorry, it’s late. I’ll see myself to bed now.

At the end of Legion, we see Azeroth through a portal as we finish off Archimonde. It’s round.

It’s round. They let poor people onto the Vindicaar these days. Go to the embassy in Stormwind and take the teleporter pad.

Note the lack of Kaz’algar and the Dragon Isles. Both places are fake.

I still don’t know where his palm is resting on when he goes to stab the planet, it looks like land but there shouldn’t be anything there.

[Insert random and incoherent nonsense about made-up CGI composite images, a grand conspiracy to hide the truth, half-baked pseudo science using barely real words, and a constant redirection to other topics, memes, or logical fallacies whenever the focus of discussion no longer persuades confirmation toward my predetermined biases]

It’s flat. Round azeroth propaganda is promoted in media but if you actually analyze the in game graphics it’s all flat scientifically. Go ahead, go on your mount and set view distance to max and go as high as you go and see if you can see the curvature of azeroth

You can’t…

This just sounds like a mess of buzzwords that people learn from their first political science classes in college.

The Earth Mother is curved :smirk:

Roll LFD, stare out the window from space. there is your answer.

Apply conspiracy theories to taste if desired after.

If I go to zones on different continents and check the position of the sun and timing of day/night transitions then use the distances between locations and a little trigonometry, I get a world diameter of … hmm … infinity.

Well, I guess we won’t run out of room to find new islands?

In game traversal suggests that maps are flat not azeroth.

You forgot to shamelessly plug your youtube conspiracy channel about the ice wall and chemtrails

We need to find Azeroth’s equivalent of Eratosthenes and check out some shadows at different latitudes. I bet the shadows will not differ though…

Archimonde was in Legion?

Well, at one point he was in the Legion. :upside_down_face:

I’ve been to Northrend and seen the ice-wall, and my uncle who sailed off the edge of the world told me I was right, so it’s flat.

Take that, Obama.

It’s flat. The cutscene showing it round was manufactured by NASA. Don’t believe it.

You have unveiled one of the future zones: The palm of Sargeras.

It’s round.

But it’s also hollow. All the lizards who run the show live underground.

It’s round, but it’s a lot bigger than we’ve been led to believe. Azeroth herself even projects a holographic image into space to fool space travelling beings, like the Draenei on the Vindicaar. Although they see the correct shape, the land masses are a lot smaller in proportion than they appear.

Why do I say that? Because Kalimdor, the Eastern Kingdoms, Northrend, and all the other “discovered” lands are all in the same time zone!
