I’ve been playing the game since the hey days, but this is the first time since Legion began I have been subbed indefinitely.
Now, I really thought Legion was a new age for the game, but it was just a fleeting moment and the game has really struggled since to find its place.
Now combine with the constant political agendas coming from the GD forums, the pandering on a corporate level to equality and the very horrendous butchering of the lore and story overall, I just feel let down.
Guild member fluctuations so often that getting a Heroic raid group is burning me out. I wish Blizzard would put a focus back on the need for a guild, update guild management UI and systems, do a lot of things focused on guilds in general, but here we are, the game has devolved into a “please insert coin to continue” sort of methodology and I just don’t feel excited anymore to hop on the wheel and do the exact same thing all over again.
I’ve played a total of maybe 2 hours in 2 weeks, I just can’t bring myself to more. Anyone else?

I like all of this stuff and I’m still burnt out.

I was on like two days ago for a little bit. I could barely get through one major quest.
Yeah, my mains are 264, 245 and my new 60 mage whom is slowly finishing the night fae quests to get the armor set from that covenant but essentially, I don’t play anymore.
Instead, when I have played games at all now. Usually, they have been some indie games and an old mmo I found again which is great.
This is due to many reasons. A number of changes blizz made to the lore, what they did to certain races that I can’t forgive (like what they did to the void elves). I was doing mythic dungeons for awhile but
averaging say, between 8’s to 15’s max, but a-lot of my guild members couldn’t help me out when I had time. I couldn’t help them out when they had time and I basically can’t stand pugs anymore.
I just dont think a large part of players want to raid. So I don’t think the right answer is to force them, because I think theyll quit. I think people are burnt out on SL. Its really slim in every department of content. One can only hope Dragonflight they learn from this.

so if you take burned out and then bury it below 100 feet of more burned out and then put a layer of super burned out and then set it on fire with burned out wood and matches - thats how I am with this game.

People are complaining left and right about a cosmetic item from raiding on these degenerate forums.
Getting burned out is an understatement.

I quit WoW a week ago and I am never looking back, I am posting with what’s left of my game time.
I am really enjoying my free time, family, PS5, Switch.

Well, the mount would’ve helped motivation to do the same thing 300 times, but just for higher ilvl isnt enough motivation imo. I dont think players care enough.
Yup, this is an MMO, and far too many players have influenced it into the other direction. It’s not a single player RPG.
The first thing would be to get rid of LFR, promote reasons for players to join a guild and be on with it. Make normal raid easier for accessibility, reduce the amount of time you have to spend in raid and don’t make any with over 8 bosses.
People talk about classic back in the day like it was the best thing ever. If you were casual or didn’t have a guild, you didn’t raid. I’d love to see guilds mean more than they do, queue groups have murdered the social aspect of WoW.
If you’re not having fun you should take a break, Azeroth will be here for a few more years still.
I’m so burnt out I haven’t even downloaded the latest (9.2.5?) update yet. So burnt out I’ve had the parts for my new computer sitting on a static free pad on my dining room table (yeah my wife is having kittens over it) for three weeks waiting for me to get motivated and assemble it. The doldrums. Dog Days.

I’m burnt down to cinders.
I will literally log on, maybe check ZM dailies to see whats on offer, and if any are worth doing on an alt that’s halfway geared, then maybe go farm an old dungeon/raid for a transmog.
Then check my bank alt to see what, if anything, has sold and log out.
I’m at the point where I’m not angry about Blizz decisions. I’m not excited about upcoming “content”. I’m not looking forward to logging on each day. There is no emotional, social, or nostalgic connection to the game at this point.
I’ve just gotten to the point where I don’t care anymore. If WoW died a month after Dragonlands comes out, I just… really wouldn’t care.

I am so burnt out that I feel like I’m going through a breakup with Blizzard.
They got me drinking and digging up old playlists.
No sir! I hit my goals like 3 months back, had a break, played some single player RPGs.
But now I’m backkkkk baby, season 4 and then DF let’s goooooo

Pretty much burnt out myself, time to take it easy and recharge a bit. Been reading threads about the flying housecat mount more than I have played recently.
For me what is keeping me in the game is old content and blood elf and void elf.

Not all guilds focus on raiding though. You pvp, mplus and even mount/mog farming guilds. Remember mass teleport and mass rez. Good guild perks for all of the guilds that got removed. Before the exp buff/hs cd were also good but now leveling nerfs, portals amd having 3 HS have made this redundant so need new perks or even bringing back the mentioned before ones.

I get burn outs. But I always come back and enjoy the game when I do after I’ve taken a break. I usually have a pattern of playing strong for 2-3 months, then taking a 3-4 month break. I also always come back strong for each expansion, to the very least.
