No, I play games on the side to keep wow fresh as with other games. FF14, ESO, recently got “Darkest Dungeons” for a roguelite experience, Final Fantasy Origins new DLC, No Man’s Sky new update, etc…don’t play only wow for ages. You will hate it.
level a new character
My work schedule and my time spent with my significant other limit my gaming so I only do M+ and even then it depends on how crappy the seasonal affix is, ie Infested…beguiling, or how good it is, ie Awakened and Encrypted. So I don’t remain subbed the entire expansion most of the time since BFA launched and only do keys on a limited basis because of it…which means no burnout.
You mentioning Legion… I cant be the only one who was really hoping that we would be able to keep our artifact weapons forever. And so lame that new and returning players cant even get ones that work now. They just get useless ones that take up space and cant ever be deleted.
Yes you are, because we would have been forced to use a sword or w/e our artifact was FOREVER and it would suck. It took the option of transmog away.
Part of the reason I play WoW…I dont need to buy a PS5 or Switch.
It has saved me so much money over the years
Yeah, I’m also burnt out and investing some time outside, summer doesn’t last long, and in FF14.
But the burnout doesn’t seem to go away while witnessing Blizzard making the same weird decisions all over again for DF. Not looking forward to that.
Come play classic with us! Gearing up for WotLK is fun and exciting especially if you have been playing classic a bit and have built up some gear/gold. Retail just feels like trash now.
I’m not burnt out-I’m bored out!
Yep and have been for longer then a month
But that what happens at the end of an expansion and when i cant do hogjer stiff them i do noe (stupid m raid lockout). Theres nothing new and nothing to do. I only get on ones a week to do my weekly mount run and i dont even do the “full run” amymore (mostly old raids)
If ever there was a time, as a WoW fan to re-experience a true masterpiece (only slightly modified) Now was that time…
Don’t let yourself get into a rut of logging in only out of reflex. If it stops being fun, just take a break. No logging in, no forums, just disconnect. Then, when you do stop by again, do something deliberately different than your normal routine/goals. Let yourself find the fun again from a different direction.
(at least that’s what’s worked for me in the past; ymmv)
This guy, right here. I feel like I’ve seen pretty much all WoW has to offer, and now it’s just the same stuff with different skins.
Played almost all classes to their full kits. Nothing is really fun for me in WoW anymore.
For now I’m playing EQ1/EQ2 since I never really gave em that big of a shot, I’m having more fun in those than in WoW.
You know, as bad as SL is been, IMO the worst it has ever been, I’m weirdly not burnt out.
MoP and WOD I was burnt out.
Legion I took a break for the whole of the Trial of Valor tier, and was burnt out come the last patch.
BFA I quit for the entirety of BOD and got burnt out during the final patch.
I think it’s because I’ve not been logging in with the expectation of having / needing to do something. Partly because I’ve accepted that I just don’t want to. Whereas say, in Legion, I had to do my world quests, or get my weekly M+ in.
Instead, I’m chilling just alt swapping and doing some casual stuff, like Tmog farming, LFR, random BGs, solo-shuffle, Torghast, etc.
This is literally, an underrated statement. It really does make you want to log back in every day, to advance a fresh new toon. There is of course, one problem.
You will inevitably reach level 60. At this point, you will experience all over again the frustrations inherent in grrriiinnndddiiinnnggg through the tedious end-game crud of this expansion.
The thing is, Legion WAS and is a new age for the game, it has been for 2 expansions now… Legion was the start of integral borrowed power systems, thankfully what Legion started is now ending with DF, we’re going back to minimalist borrowed power and back to class and spec basics.
Nope, just got back from a 3 month break doing non-stop city builders to calm the mind. I’m ready to down some bosses!
Definitely at this point.
Game feels stale to an extent and I can’t bring myself to PvP in WoW anymore.
My guild quit a long time ago so I just hop on to get gear on maybe 3 characters and play the story.
As far as min/max and all that…meh, I dont have time for that anymore.
Since the end of BfA, i quit in 9.1.
have you tried quitting for a month and just coming back and enjoying the game. Everyone says “uhh put money here and get reward” bro ive never bought anything from the store other than expacs. You don’t need to spend money, you can just play casual af and have fun and do normal raids and +15 mythics.
